Author’s Note: The theme for this one is a bit dark! I do not think Luxu took over Braig’s body when he was an adult (at least I hope not)… but I like the tragic idea behind it. lol.

“After much consideration I have decided.” Ansem the Wise said sitting behind a desk while a farmer boy named ‘Braig’ sat nervously in a chair. The man looked a bit malnourished, tan from working in the yard, he wore patched up pants, an old army jacket, and wore a red tattered bandanna around his neck. Braig shook nervously waiting for his answer.

(So the last day of @apprenticeweek is upon us and I just want to thank the organizers for giving me the opportunity to crank out some fics I probbaly would have never thought about. I will be posting all 7 days on Ao3 and linking it here. Also this play off off St. Triniads as well as my own experiences with private schools]

“Hey!! No smoking on school campus!!”

You side eye a blonde male with a sneer and take a long drag of your cigarette before flicking off the butt and snuff it out on the brick of the school wall as he apporached-a rather drawn faced and green eyed male normally seen with the instructors. “This is your third offense, you know. Which mean that you have earned a detention with the Headmaster.” he recited as you rolled your eyes. “Blah blah blah. Can we get this over with already?” you snap and follow him into the school, uniform half done and reeking of nicotine. Once in front of the door, Prefect Even knocks and eyes you with distaste before you are allowed entry.

You cross your arms in front of the bearded male and raise an eyebrow. “Yes Sir Ansem?? You’re kinda cutting into me time.” you snark as he lets out a sigh. “Your behavior, as of late, is not acceptable and we here at St. Kingdom Hearts hold every student to an extremely high standard. I have been leinant due to your history but no more. You will be serving detention tonight with Mr. Braig, am I understood?” You smirk and muffle it before he notice and nods. “Yes sir.” you drawl and after dismissing you, shove past Even and light up another cigarette, despite his splutterings.

Later that night, you’re leaning in your chair bored out of your mind while Briag is reading a book at his desk. “So uhhh...can I go? I kinda have a gig to peform at.” you intone as he looks up from his book. “A gig huh? As if. You’ve been acting up and you have to take your punishment.” he snarked as you let out a huff before an idea comes to you. “If you let me go early, I won’t tell anyone and you can have me.” It was no secret, aside from the other faculty and staff, that Mr. Braig had a thing for you and you intended to abuse it as much as you could.

Well it’s the end of Apprentice Week 2020 and I’m finally sharing the works I did for this week! Thanks to @apprenticeweek​ for the prompts and setting up this week!

Ansem’s Apprentices (most of them) are Somebodies again and back home in Radiant Garden. They’ve been through a lot in the past ten years. They have their scars, their memories, and their sins. They also have their friends, their family, and their future.

Prompt fill for @apprenticeweek, prompt 3: Quotes. After a tragic event, Ienzo is left heartbroken, and Xehanort tries his best to comfort him.

The remaining prompts for the event have only been partially written and/or haven’t been edited yet, so I probably won’t be able to post them within the next few days. I’ll finish and post them as soon as I have time.

a little drabble of my boi braig being cryptic with his words and MoM being equally so~ it has been so fun to do apprentice week this year! i love my bois and i loved it a lot. 

Braig/Reader | Rambles in the Stars | A.W. 2020. 

“Do you ever think that we’ll meet each other again in another life?” you quietly asked, resting on Briag’s chest as you looked up at the stars. 

“I know we will.”

“Really? How can you be so sure?” “Had a man tell me once.” 

“Was that the master guy?” 

“Yep; he told me I’d meet a little birdy every life I got.” Quietly walking along, the man stopped as he looked over the hill- the two young ones dumb and in love as they stared at the stars, rambling about whatever seemed to concern them. 

“I’m glad you’re doing well, Luxu,” He said to himself, looking back at the two love birds, the larger pinning the younger to the ground in loud laughs, “You always deserved to have someone to love. 

Summary: All his life, Braig dreamed of the honor and prestige that came along with being a hero from the stories of old. So when an opportunity to find a legendary weapon falls right into his lap, how can he say no? But if those stories are anything to go by, things never turn out quite as expected. Part one of (?) in a series. For Day 6 of @apprenticeweek : AU.

Glory Is A Whisper

“I just don’t get it,” Braig pondered aloud, kicking his feet up on the rough-hewn tavern table as he tipped back precariously in his chair. “What do all of those legendary heroes have that I don’t?”

The fairy-tales always made it sound so easy. Sure, there was usually a dragon guarding the princess or some ancient necromancer with an army of undead to protect a magical artifact, but the hero’s path always seemed to lay out nicely before them. Sometimes it appeared in the form of a magical mentor, sending the hero on a quest or guiding them to great power. Other times it was a prophecy, a pre-destined event that one was born and molded for their entire lives. Braig had neither of these going for him. So what then was an aspiring glory seeker to do?

Dilan, one of Braig’s only friends in the village, sighed and sloshed the liquid in his tankard around. How many times had they had this conversation before? He didn’t look up from his ale as he responded sharply.

“Manners, for starters. Feet off the table, Braig.”

The people of Radiant Garden was a bit excited today. There were booths open in town square, flower decorations, and banners saying ‘congratulations’, but for what exactly? For the King of Radiant Garden’s wedding of course. The king was finally going to marry his fiance, Evën. It’s been ten years since King Ansem proposed to his partner and now they’re finally going to get married.

“Braig? A word please?”

Said man huffed and straightened his scarf before heading into the Store Manager’s Office. “Yes Ansem?” he droaned and slouched in the seat. “We got another customer complaint about you. Said you told them to “Read the fucking sign.” and “Do you even comprehend English.” The bearded male raised an eyebrow and Braig shrugged. “I mean, I’m tired of repeating myself when the sign is right there. I swear these people are doing it on purpose.” he griped.

“I understand they can be frustrating, but you cannot curse at each and every customer,no matter how incompetent they may seem.” Ansem chided and flipped to another sheet. “And this one happened last week when you worked register. They said you told them to ‘shove their expired coupons up their ass and you cannot take them no matter what.’ I cannot afford to fire you but you need to learn how to control your temper.”
