Some of these I wasn’t sure how to answer cause either I have plans to write a fic with the thing or I have started writing the thing but it’s not yet posted lol Then with “written a Tomarrymort rec list,” I was also unsure what to do with that because I have recced fics on this tumblr before back when I was reccing fics regularly but those only had two fics on them and normally one was my own out of the two 😅 Then for the “losing” subs one, I have literally no idea if that’s ever happened to me. FAQ

➵ “Can I write a time travel fic/draw time travel art?” Yes, if it’s clearly established to be after the Deathly Hallows has happened for them, and both Harry and Voldemort remember the events.

➵ “Can I write an Alternate Universe fic/draw Alternate Universe art?” This really depends. If it’s Alternate because Harry and Voldemort have hopped to a different universe, then yes. But they both, again, have to remember the events of the Deathly Hallows. But if you’re thinking of like a coffee shop or soulmates au set in the universe where the Deathly Hallows took place for them, then no.

➵ “Can I have Voldemort live through the events of Deathly Hallows?” Yes, this and the canonisity of the epilogue are the only things you can change about the canon before the events of the fic/artwork. However, if Voldemort is kept alive, he still has to have been defeated in such a way that the war is considered over (knocked unconscious, recognised he was bested, died only briefly, etc).

➵ “Can I include poly ships?” Yes, but Harry and Voldemort can’t be part of one as this is a festival focused on them. However, one or both of them can start in a different relationship as long as Harrymort is the end goal.

Author Expections:

~ All works should be a minimum of 2k words.

~ All works must be correctly tagged and warned for. “Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings” is not an acceptable warning.

~ Authors must have an Archive of our Own account to publish their fanfiction to the collection.

~ Each fanfiction should be new and unique the fest, this means that you aren’t allowed to retroactively add a previously written oneshot or submit a new chapter for an ongoing fic. Prequels and sequels to other fanfictions are allowed as long as they are published on their own and can be coherently read without needing knowledge of said prior fic(s).

~ All authors should edit their fanfictions to the best of their ability concerning SPaG. If a beta or alpha is meeded at amytime, feel free to join the Discord!

Artist Expectations:

~ Artwork at any stage that the artist is happy sharing it in is acceptable as long as at least two hours of work has gone into it.

~ Artists must have an Archive of our Own account to publish their artwork to the collection. Or, in the case that your art prompt was also claimed for a fic and the author is okay with it, the artwork could be posted with the accompanying fanfiction instead.

Additionally, no fanworks should be posted to other social media (twitter, tumblr, etc) until after reveals. All fanworks will receive a personalised post on the fest tumblr (that’s here!) after being submitted, including a spot on the masterpost once the fest is over.

There may be at least one very late submission coming at some point and I would love to do this again next year. If anyone has any suggestions to reach more people and advice on how I can better help more participants so that they can actually submit their work, please let me know! Perhaps it's just as simple as the festival's timeframe being very unfortunate, but who knows. Speaking of the plans for next year, if anyone has the skill to resize images and wants to help me out making some smaller copies of banners for future fest collections, I would greatly appreciate it! I made the banner for use on Tumblr but the ratio is HUGE on AO3 😅

Either way, I definitely still had fun seeing all the prompts and writing my own story! Plus, we did come out ahead with 3 submitted works!

Guidelines

Characters should be one of the following to constitute as a villain:

- An antagonist of the protagonists in the main series or in a spin-off. This includes but isn't limited to Voldemort, his Death Eaters, Grindelwald, his Acolytes, etc.

- Be part of Wizarding history and have a legacy for being evil in someway. This includes but isn't limited to Herpo the Foul, Morgan(a) Le Fay, Salazar Slytherin, the Bloody Baron, etc.

Yes, this does mean that certain morally dubious characters such as Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, and Regulus Black count as villains for the sake of this festival. For the sake of simplicity, however, Albus Dumbledore does not count as a villain, regardless of his many messy and shitty actions within the main series and spin-off, Fantastic Beasts. However, characters who don't count as a villain under these parameters can still be prevalent in your fanwork. In fact, they can even be the second half of the main ship, but the main character who does count as a villain should be the focus of any story or art.

• Author Expectations - Fanfictions should have a minimum of 2,000 words. Authors must have an archive of our own account to add their fic to the collection. Additionally, fics should be new and unique to the fest. No add ons to previously posted works in progress are allowed.
