Ember walked out of the surgery room at Zedās placeāwhich pretty much isĀ Zedās placeāafter a job he took went very, very wrong. Without going into detail, he got shot in the leg, arm, and stomach by a bandit with a surprisingly careful trigger finger, and was a very good marksman, however Ember had been moving too fast for the bandit to get a good shot at an area like his head. He had never needed to use Hyperionās New-U stations in the past, and he doesnāt want to now. Just more money
that isnāt going to some corrupt business manās pocket.
Anyway, as he exited, he would definitely catch the attention of quite a few peopleāhe was a Vault Hunter, being reason one, and reason two was because he was a known assassin. Known for never, ever messing up, and he had healing bullet holes on the aforementioned areas.
Needless to say, his reputation was going to take a dive.

Amai stretched back in his seat as he patiently waited for his metaphorical number to come up. Heād run into a nasty pack of bullymongs earlier that week and, of course, come to Zed to get fixed up, after one of them had thrown a literal stalagmite at him and nicked his arm.
And by nicked, that meant pretty much torn his arm open nearly to the bone.
The reason he was back again was because the wound was opening up again, and hurt like a bitch. Heād tied it off as soon as it started bleeding again, of course, in order to prevent too much blood loss, but now he couldnāt feel his fingers, and was getting a bit impatient for his number in order to avoid having his arm chopped off.
He was shocked, however, when he noticed Ember strolling ot of the operation room like it was nothing. Not because it was Ember, the famously invincible assassin, but because of the sniper rifle strapped to his back. Specifically, how it seemed to have a sort of Atlas design to it, and...well, something else that was hard to describe. It was clearly powerful, though--possibly powerful enough to melt someoneās head.
āUh--hey, dude!ā he called out, before instantly regretting it. Lord forgive me if I die today.
