he had promised her and he had read about anything and everything ( even the very embarrassing parts and honestly, they were less embarrassing than he had imagined ). he had spend days in the goddamn library, but they didn't have none innocent versions of love and while sylvain liked to tell him about his achievements ( and caspar would listen, if that version didn't include sylvain BOASTING ) it just wasn't the right thing, so he went into town. those libraries were rather fascinating and less bent on having someone make a... religious journey. the steamy parts had him wondering though; did vivian do this? had she done it already? he shrugged his shoulders, no use sitting around and wondering. he took her out to this gigantic view he had come across by accident after not finding the way back to the monastery. vivian seemed to like it.

    “ oh we’re doin’ this? WE’RE DOIN’ THIS! ” 

just in the nick of time too, ‘cause the moment he’s hunkered down on bent knees and rooted heels, she’s in his arms and swinging. like she’s his axe, caspar follows her momentum but he carries it too. all the way round, till his foot gets a chance to swing out and drag her down to the floor with him. about a second after all this started, she’s pinned underneath him and he’s straddling her waist. 

    “ pinned ya! what do i win? ” 

─「三葉」─  the call of her name had the shrine maiden lift her head from the BOOK she was studying — the demon was probably getting bored with how she refused to show him around for the time being. there was a TEST coming up and she had to focus on that, so she just told him to explore around the area and seeing what he wanted to see — and of course, try not to cause too much TROUBLE if possible.

               “ eh — ? snacks ? for me ? ” SURPRISE was clear on her expression, and she couldn’t help feeling that slight warmth welling up. he was mischievous in his own rights, but she remembered the times he had stood up for her when things got a little rowdy with some male students. she appreciated him for that. and was he trying to CHEER her up from all the studying ?

               “ these look really nice — thank you — i’ll take this one then. ” a hand reached out to pick up one of the bags he offered, marveling at how many he had gotten. “ i’ve never seen some of these before — how do you even manage to get these — i thought this one is only available in tokyo — and that … wait … — ” now, it HIT her like a freight train. that REALIZATION that the money she had given him to buy his wanted chips couldn’t possibly cover ALL of this. her brown hues TWITCHED before immediately turning to him with slight killing aura.

               “ DID YOU STEAL THIS — YOU DEMON — I TOLD YOU NOT TO STEAL AND ONLY BUY IT WITH THE MONEY I GIVE YOU — wha — ” and he was already GONE out the door even before she could finish her sentence — the SHRINE MAIDEN abandoned her books and studying to chase him down the road like a madman.

               “ GET BACK HERE YOU DEMON — !!! ” okay, maybe screaming that while chasing him wasn’t a good idea but, unconsciously, she was pulled from her moment of stress to relax a little. something she needed without realizing.

               so — having him around probably wasn’t as bad she thought. maybe.
