my thoughts on canon buddie is that it should happen. but my other thoughts are that, if it doesn't, they need to keep toeing the line to drive people insane. I don't care if it's queerbait, I want to be so enthralled by the insane homoerotic bullshit antics they get up to that it drives me to madness. start hitting those fanfic tropes while refusing to commit to the bit. inexplicably make them roommates next season. get some wistful gazing going between the pair. eddie gets buck-specific amnesia. buck has to give eddie CPR & maddie suffers through an hour long totally normal debrief afterwards. ravi confidently refers to them as boyfriends and the two of them giggle nervously before a truck drives through the wall and the scene drastically changes tone. bobby's ghost comes to eddie in a vision to tell him he is gay & eddie chalks his newfound psychic abilities up to indigestion. they mention the will again.
