I think it’s because many of them become a pro af 18-19 and they have to live the life of an adult, with a lot of responsibilities , parties etc, like someone who’s in their late 20s does so they mentally age faster than your average person. We all tend to date in out age group, mentally not biologically 😫

''so they mentally age faster than your average person'' HERE'S THE THING THOUGH, they don't mature faster. It's the opposite, they rely even more on a person (usually their parents) to take care of them, because the world is oh so scary! The parent will be responsible for their lives, their schedules, these athletes will never have to worry a day about their actions or taking actual responsabilities, they'll have dear Mommy/Daddy for that.

Because having responsabilities and being mature are two very different things. We usually say '' oh *someboy* is somature for her/his age!'' when in reality the person only has a lot of responsabilities, more than the average person at least.

Maturity comes with age, it's facts. You may have an ''adult life'' and a lot of responsabilities when you're 19 years-old, but that doesn't make you more mature than somebody, let's say, 10 years older than you. That's not me talking, it's science!

Usually, that ''maturity'' really begins around 23-24/25... IF the person puts in the work. But that's harders if you have a lot of money to pay everybody to do everything for you instead.
