I don't know if there's a universal "perfect disco moment", but for me it was a Monday afternoon when I was going home. The rain was falling pretty heavy, but still was one of those spring showers. The setting sun was shining bright from the west, between the block of flats, breaking the clouds, and a faint rainbow was forming over the grey clouds in the east. "Instrument of Surrender" was just playing in my ears.

And in that moment I felt like I could carry on.

alsoooo i really like the late 17th/early 18th century vibes in poe1/deadfire. i think that period in history is severely underutilised in fantasy bc the go to is usually medieval. pillars of eternity tell me how the development of firearms and hand cannons has impacted the setting and affected the balance of power between between magic users and non magic users 👌👌👌

After Kim had his portrait, I had to paint my favourite companion of all time, Aloth Corfiser from Pillars of Eternity.

To match more with the Kim portrait, I tried to tweak his in-game portrait from Deadfire a bit, so I could have my favourite boys *definitely not* judging me. I think they go along well.

Another example of my habit of painting of my favourite pieces of media: the portrait of Kim Kitsuragi of Disco Elysium.

He was immediately my favourite when he appeared in the game, and one of my favourite characters in video games, so it was kind of natural that I would try to replicate his portrait - to hang on my wall and give everlasting encouragement.
