Since Community is known for being a show for people who love TV, her are some of the meta references about what the cast has been involved with since the show that I would love to see in the movie:

Mythic Quest, pretty self-explanatory I think as lots of Community fans have watched the show for Danny Pudi's acting and Megan Ganz's writing. Abed moved to Hollywood so this could just be a line about running into the cast of Sunny or even just bringing up that he was supposed to be a PA on a video game show.

Childish Gambino and/or Atlanta, again pretty self-explanatory, but I don't have a clever idea for this one.

The Bear, both Gillian Jacobs and Joel McHale have appeared on the show which is why I thought is was going to be more traditionally comedic. This could be accomplished with a comment about the death of sitcoms and the state of television comedy (probably by Abed) or if Britta and Jeff have both stayed in Greendale they could have gone on vacation to Chicago.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, especially if they can't get the man to do a cameo, I need them to mention Duncan.

Feel free to add other meta references you would appreciate appearing in some form in the movie in the tags/comments! Also any ideas for weaving the above naturally into the dialogue.

Damn I dreamed that the Community movie came out and it was available for free on youtube for a limited time (lmao) and there was a new character who was like this goth kid who was openly gay and there was a bit about Abed thinking the kid might also be autistic and then later there was like a moment later on where Annie had like a slow motion shocking realisation about Troy and Abed's relationship like "could it be...?" but never said the words and they were oblivious and oh yeah they never explained how Troy got back the highlight was really the goth kid it wasn't so much about the study group
