aaa so i’ve been looking at the sheith and klance tags for the past few days now ever since the nycc vld poster came out and askjkjsakjsa i’m just so happy about voltron season 8. although i have been seeing a lot of klantis comment on sheith posts or cross tag on the sheith tags spreading hate. like ugh, seeing this kind of crap puts me into a really bad mood. like come on man, can you not? why can’t we just respect each other’s ships and move on with our lives? like, i’ve been seeing some klantis crossing tagging in the sheith tags saying crap like ‘why would ppl ship a pedophiliac ship? lmao’ and askjksjasa pls get your facts straight. Shiro and Keith are literally adults now. It’s alright to ship them. It was alright to ship them since season one. Although, shipping shiro and keith back when keith was like what? 15-16 and shiro was 21-22 was purely platonic. now i’ve been also seeing some klantis (i’m not gonna call them out or name them tbh cause i don’t wanna be involved with a bunch of drama) saying keith was literally raised by shiro. No, he wasn’t. Shiro was more of a mentor than a father figure to Keith. Keith wasn’t adopted or raised by Shiro. Raising someone means that you were there when they were a child and being with them from the start. Idk man, Shiro was only a mentor towards Keith. And last time I check Shiro wasn’t there in the beginning. And again, Klantis are saying shit like ‘oH11!!1 wELL, sHEITHERs shIPPED kEITH AND shIRO WHEN kEITH wAS lITERALLY A CHILd whILE SHiRO’s An ADUlt1!!1′ like what?? i haven’t seen any sheith shippers support the ship when they first met. Again, it was merely a platonic relationship between them at first. And whenever i see this crap on the sheith tags it just makes me feel so negative. like yo man, i don’t want all this negative energy. can you not? of course, i’m not talking about all klance shippers. i know most klance shippers aren’t toxic. they’re just shippers and i, myself ship klance. but i lowkey feel so embarrassed shipping it mainly because the reputation it has earned. and kasjkjaskjsa i know that not all klance shippers are like this. anyways, pls don’t be a huge jerk about a fictional ship. like that’s just petty tbh. so y’all just keep on shipping on what you ship man. 

Yeah, it’s sad that that’s preferable to now. At least the maligned character couldn’t be suicide-baited into actually attempting. It sucks.

I’m with you there on losing years of your life. Whenever they’re like “omg Adam and Shiro literally birthed and raised Keith,” I want to rip my hair out. No 22 year old college student is going to be able to legally adopt a 15 year old (or a kid of any age for that matter), why can’t they get that through their heads. It’d be one thing if they were like “oh this is my headcanon, that they were like a family unit” but they’re like “UGH why didn’t vld give us this?! wish they’d hire ME, I’m clearly more competent at writing!” and it pisses me off
