hunk goes into his room on the castle ship one day to find lance sitting on the floor and crying. it’s veronica’s birthday again and he’s still not there to celebrate it with her and he hasn’t been with her for it in years and this time he can’t even skype her

hunk gathers lance into his arms and pulls him onto the bed. lance cries himself to sleep and it feels like hunk’s heart has cut in half

the next morning hunk asks pidge if she can spend the day with lance. she readily agrees and for a day lance feels like he has his little sister with him again

when they’re on separate missions they give each other something for luck

the first time they go back home hunk picks up his tina and his amma at the same time in a humongous hug, then hugs his little brother and older sister and niece. lance is surrounded by his mami and abuelita and sister and brothers and nieces and nephews. as lance and hunk are engulfed in group hugs by their respective families they look overtop everyone at each other and see tears in each other’s eyes.

they spend the whole day with their respective families but before they go to bed they call each other

hunk was part of keith’s race arc

and now we’re confident that shiro is most definitely part of lance’s arc as it’s already been confirmed by jeremy + it could be deduced from s5

and you know what’s really interesting about lauren’s artwork is specific?

allura and pidge are both holding the gender sign with both of their hands as they both are of the same gender

keith is holding the sign with both of his hands while hunk has one of his on keith’s shoulder as if to support and comfort him, which is what he exactly did when keith’s galra heritage was revealed (his teasing was his attempt at making keith relax and feel better about himself)

and now we come to lance and shiro where it’s the same thing as keith and hunk: lance is holding the sign with a slightly worried look on his face (like the one on keith’s) which means that the sexuality arc is gonna belong to him, and shiro wears a confident look and has his hand on lance’s shoulder (just like hunk) which indicates that he will help and support him through it, not to mention that shiro is holding the sign with one hand himself, implying that shiro’s sexuality is something that lance will relate to

keith’s silent for a while, before saying 'i did.’ lance looks at him, sharply, and keith then refuses to meet his gaze. 'it just took a while, and by the time i did it was too late, because you were so set on being my rival.’ lance looks mortified. 'you were so…’ keith struggles, 'loved at the garrison. everyone knew you, everyone liked you for making fun of iverson while his back was turned to the class, so… of course i remembered you.’
