Food || Anthony & Sophie

Sophie rolled her eyes, laughing at his little thank you speech. This had probably been the most she had laughed in a long time, but she couldn’t help it. Anthony was a funny guy, and she felt comfortable joking around with him. “If the whole YouTube thing doesn’t work out, at least now you have a back up plan,” she teased as she got out of the car. Nodding to let him know that she was up for the challenge, she walked around to the back of the trunk and started picking up the grocery bags. She hadn’t even noticed that she had taken more than him until he pointed it out and she ducked her head a little, not speaking as she walked to the front door. 

"That is true!" He stated with a lopsided grin, "I'll be sure to thank you when I receive my tony award." Anthonys smile stayed on his face as he opened the door, holding it open with his foot for Sophie to walk in. "We have food!!" He yelled, walking to the kitchen and setting all the bags down. "Wow. I never thought getting food would be as fun as this was." He said looking at Sophie. She was a really sweet girl with a big personality, but it was going to take him more than just one small trip to make her feel completely comfortable around him. And Anthony was 100% okay with that. After all, it meant getting to spend more time together which he was surely looking forward to.

Sophie couldn’t do anything to stop the fierce blush from appearing on her face at his reaction to what she had said, even though she was laughing about it. Listening to him, she nodded as she shut the trunk. “I have no idea what that is, but it sounds scarily accurate,” she told him with a slight grin. As he put away the cart, she climbed into the car, buckling up and shutting the door just as he climbed in the other side. She covered her face, giggling, as he began to obnoxiously sing along to the radio. “You’re a wonderful singer,” she told him, trying and failing to keep a straight face as she did so. 

Anthony continued to sing until the song played it's final notes, displaying a huge smile on his face. He laughed at Sophies critic, "Thank you, thank you. I'd like to thank my mom and friends for helping me get this far and always telling me to follow my dreams." He flashed another smile in her direction before pulling into the house and climbing out of the car. "Lets shoot for one trip, two trips are for pussyyy... cats. Pussy cats!" Anthony opened the trunk and hung as many bags as he could on his arm and watched as Sophie took more than him. "Impressive!" He stated before weakly closing the trunk and fumbling for the front door.

Sophie was glad that he dropped the subject instead of trying to pursue it any farther. She started helping him move the groceries from the cart into the trunk of the car, looking up for half a second when she heard him speak. Biting down on her bottom lip, she shrugged. “I don’t know. I was never really into Pokemon as a kid,” she admitted sheepishly. She knew she was probably one of very few kids who hadn’t been obsessed with Pokemon growing up, but she figured giving the honest answer was better than trying to lie. 

Anthony let out an exaggerated gasp when Sophie revealed she had never been into Pokemon. "Never been into Pokemon?!" He spoke, his hand on his heart, before laughing at his dramatic scene. "I imagine you as an Uxie. Shy, delicate, but will attack on force if any of it's friends are threatened." He finished his sentence right as they finished transporting the bags into the trunk. Anthony pushed the cart away and got in the car, waiting for Sophie to close her door before beginning to back up the car and drive out of the parking lot. After a minute on the road Anthony heard a familiar intro tune play on the radio. "Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass, and I'm home bound!" He sung loudly, wiggling his butt in the seat as if to be dancing. He turned his head and sung the next line to Sophie, serenading her in the most ridiculous way.

Sophie shook her head again, though she knew there was no use denying what he was saying. What he had said was pretty funny, but she wasn’t about to admit that out loud. She stood off to the side as he paid for all of the groceries, then followed him outside to the car. When he spoke up, she looked over at him, surprised that not only had he said something, but that he had noticed anything at all. “I’m not scared of you,” she said, returning her gaze to the ground. If anything, she was more afraid of doing or saying anything embarrassing, though she knew that he probably wouldn’t care or make a big deal out of it if she did. 

Anthony listened to her response and simply nodded his head. "Okay." He said calmly with a smile. The last thing he wanted was to make her feel uncomfortable, so he simply unlocked the trunk and began placing the food filled grocery bags in the trunk. "If you could be any pokemon, which would you be?" He asked randomly, hoping the question wouldn't take Sophie too much by surprise. Anthony's mom had taught him at a young age that if you want to get closer to someone you had to ask the most bizarre of questions. He'd never tested the theory out but now seemed like the perfect time, especially when he was with someone he wanted to get to know better.
