Into The Wild (2007) dir. Sean Penn

I did an illustration for last Sunday’s New York Times. The prompt was “Can videogames be art?”  The first image is the one they used, but I liked some of the other sketches. The characters are camouflaged by the paintings, the female characters all but disappearing into the backgrounds of Manet’s Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe, Artemisia Gentileschi’s Judith Slaying Holofernes.
