tips on saving money while shopping online
1. get the extension called honey; it will automatically try coupon codes they find online. its just an easy step to save money when purchasing stuff online.Â
2. sign up for ebates. ebates is a site where you can get cash back on your online purchases and sometimes even in store purchases. its super easy to sign up and set it up. sign up here + they have some special going on where you get 10 dollars as a welcome gift. seriously, its like free money, every penny counts.
3. amazon prime is great. amazon prime has free 2 day shipping on a lot of their items and you can save a lot on shipping costs. if you are a student, you can get 6 months of prime for free & then half off afterwards. the link is here; if you donât qualify for student prime, you can sign up on their 1 month free trial. Remember to cancel at the end if you donât want to be charged for the membership fee.
4. now if you do use amazon to purchase things, remember to check the prices with camelcamelcamel. They offer nice insights to amazonâs pricing history. If youâre willing to wait, the price could go down.Â
5. also many sites offer pricing matching. so basically that means if you find it cheaper somewhere else, the company will price match it. some places even throw a 10% off on top of that.Â
6. this does not work for a lot of sites but if you add your items in your cart and then check out until you get to the part to put in your contact information. abandon your cart and some companies will send you a coupon code in hopes you will come back and finish your checkout.Â
7. unidays!! this is a student discount site. They offer discounts up to 50% off on very popular sites and some of their deals are stackable with other discounts.Â
if you have anymore tips to add, send me a message and I will add it to the post.
wait a minute...
I always thought this invisible guy on the Powerpuff Girls was just funny because heâs obviously dressed as a pimp, but it only now occurs to me that maybe itâs not an invisible dog heâs got on a leash.

House Cleansings & Blessings
practical and simple ways to cleanse and bless your home đż
đż burn cedar sticks or cedar incense. cedar helps drive away negative influences, energies, and spirits. really good herb to work with when moving into a new space. helps with protection on all levels.
đż sprinkle a blend of salt, sage, and mint on the floors to soak up all the negative energies on the ground and vacuum up when you feel it has picked everything up. clean out all that salt from your vaccuun and dispose of it in the trash outside (not in nature)
đż diffuse lavender oil. lavender oil is very protective and helps bring serenity and peace into a space.
đż manifest abundance and prosperity by meditating with citrine and placing it in your home. place a clear quartz next to it to amplify abundant energies
đż make a crystal gird out of selenite, black tourmaline and white jade. these crystals will create a barrier of protection around your house and they will cleanse the hell out of it.
đż place pieces of selenite in windowsills, this will purify energy coming in and out of the house. immediately raises the vibration of the room
đż when burned, palo santo releases a cleansing smoke filled with healing energies. great for filling spaces with good health and fortune
đż ask your spirits/deities to cleanse, protect, and bless your space and leave them offerings when you are done
đż sandalwood incense raises vibrations, cleanses, offers psychic protection, and helps to open up psychic awareness
đż amethyst is not only a enhances the intuition and increases calm energies, it is also very protective and will shield you from psychic attacks
đż work with the elements for protection, meditation and visualization works well
đż visualize an impenetrable bubble of protection surrounding your home protecting you from all lower energies
đż visualize a waterfall pouring into your space washing away all stagnant and negative energy leaving your space with abundant and healthy energy
đż put mint leaves all around your house, in your windowsills, in your shoes, jewelry boxes, altar, etc. to protect you from evil intentions. also good for protecting your home from misfortune
đż wind chimes will warn you when a negative spirit is around, there sound will also help drive them off your property
đż cinnamon is extremely protective, i love dressing candles with ground cinnamon for cleansing and protection
đż burning dragonâs blood incense will create a wall of fire protecting you and your space, also a really good incense for clearing bad spirits
đż sleep with a lavender sachet underneath your pillow to protect you from psychic vampires
đż labradorite protects you and your home from demons
đż placing a vase of flowers in a room will lift the energy and invite positive energy in. use different flowers for attracting different things example sunflowers for happiness, roses for love, marigolds for success and creativity, etc.
Anybody know what kind of plant this is? (Source: https://ift.tt/2zk0nAh)
Hullo everyone! đÂ
Here is an illustrated set of instructions I made on how to make a Positivity Spell Jar for my illustration class this past quarter.Â
What youâll need:
A Jar
Lighter
Salt- for protection
Glitter-for fun
Candle- light and let melt around edges of jar to Cast Spell
Rosemary- for mental strength
Lavender- to keep calm
Citrine- for abundance
Rose Quartz- for love
Blue Thread- for harmony
ââ
As you set each item into the jar focus on what they represent to you. Your magick and energy melding with each, coming from inside you and around you. Close off the jar and wrap the thread round the top of the jar. Light the candle, visualizing the flame as the energy casting the spell. Â
This can be modified to make absolutely any type of spell jar. Use different ingredients and colors to symbolize different things.
Enjoy!

Disney vs. 7 early fairytalesÂ
The 1812 version of Snow White is even worse when you consider that the girl was only seven years old in the tale (plus her unconscious body ended up being carted around by the prince until one of his servants accidentally woke her up). Also, in The Little Mermaid, the mermaidâs unable to speak because she had her tongue cut out >__<
But Iâd love to see faithful adaptations of the original tales. Especially Bluebeard. We need a Bluebeard adaptation.
Actually, the original-original pre-Grimm Brothersâ stories that were passed around Europe via oral tradition are nowhere near as violent as the Grimmâs made them. Cinderellaâs stepsisters were never ugly and kept their eyes, Snow Whiteâs mother was not even a villain (instead a group of bandits were), and instead of spending the whole story napping Sleeping Beauty outwitted a dangerous bandit leader, wouldnât let him sleep with her, and saved herself.Â
The original oral stories were radically changed by the Brothers Grimm to fit their personal and political beliefs. Most notably, they often added in female characters solely for the purpose of making them evil villains and took away most of the heroinesâ agency and intelligence. Both brothers belonged to a small fanatical sect of Catholicism that vilified women because of the idea of Original Sin and Wilhelm in particular had a particularly deep hatred of women. The Grimms were actually pretty horrible people. Those cannibalistic queens and ugly stepsisters and the mass amount of violence against women didnât exist until the Grimms wanted them to. Their ideas stuck so soundly though that we now assume they were in the original tales and that these terrible characters and ideas come out of some perceived barbaric Old World culture. But in truth theyâre really the Grimmsâ weird obsession with hating women showing through. The original oral folklore focused on the heroesâ and heroinesâ good deeds and used them as ways to teach cultural norms and a societyâs rules and encouraged girls to be quick-witted and street-savvy instead of passive princesses, and the Grimms promptly stripped that all away.Â
âGrimms Bad Girls and Bold Boysâ by Ruth Bottingheimer is an excellent book on this
Something to add to my reading list.
So this guy Franz Xaver Von Schonwerth collected all these fairytales and in the 2000â˛s they were discovered in an attic and published. Unlike the Grimm brothers, he did not edit anything. The Grimms deliberately edited the stories to fit middle class tastes - they also were trying to create a national identity with these tales as a touchstone. Meanwhile Von Schonwerthâs goal was documenting the Bavarian oral traditions - which is why he didnât edit the stories in his notes.Â
And the stories are weird and intense. Some have the classic âbeginning middle end + moralâ - some are just âhereâs stuff that happenedâŚ.âÂ
And some of the endingsâŚyou know that story about a weary soldier who performs three tasks and gets to marry the princess? In this book, the soldier is continually rejected by both the king and the princess, so he brings an army to burn down the entire castle with everyone inside. The end, lol.
The other interesting thing is that while the Grimms tales had mostly female protagonists, Von Schonwerthâs have as many boys trying to escape nasty situations as girls. There are boys who cuddle up with frogs to discover that the frogs are princesses, there are boys called âKing Goldenhair,â there are brothers fighting, and fathers sending sons out to stop being a burden on the family. In the introduction, Maria Tatar posits that the Grimms, having suffered from being orphans, may have avoided these types of stories.Â
Anyway, if you like fairytales, The Turnip Princess book is worth the read.
end the concept that the grimms either invented or had the âoriginalâ version
