You have the Driver in Drive — you never even find out his name. You have K in Blade Runner 2049, who is a technically a human being but biologically different enough for people to simply treat him like a weapon. Ken — who only sees his worth as an extension of Barbie. And of course my baby Ryland Grace, who is forced onto a suicide mission because he has no family and he has the knowledge to be useful. All of these roles have the characters struggle with their identity, some to tragic ends.
