intro -- bio -- headcanons -- stats
( ana de armas. 32. she/her. cis female. ) are you a HERO ? something tells me that leather gloves and leather jackets, the neon glow of a dive bar after dark, a shock of white in your dark hair make you who you are, ANNA MARIE. with the powers of POWER ABSORPTION, you’re sure to have an altruistic, wounded personality — and you definitely belong to UNAFFILIATED. were you listening to MEDUSA by KAILEE MORGUE on your way to the subway? it suits you. we can’t wait to see what you do next! ( claire. 23. she/her. gmt. )

was your character “blipped” out? if so, what did they return to and how is it affecting them? if not, who important to them was blipped out, and what has it felt like after those five years have passed?
she wasn’t blipped! she spent the time in-between with the x-men, supporting her team, teaching the young mutants left behind, keeping the pieces together, picking up the remains. any team members blipped counted as a major loss, but the one she missed the most was remy--who wasn’t blipped, who’d just fucked off down south to deal with some family stuff. that was fun.
where are they living? are they living with anyone?
rogue is living in the x-mansion for now with whoever else is living there. it seemed as good a place as any to stay safe and halfway stable. (she has limited formal education, no credentials, a dangerous power set, and not a lot of work experience, so paying her own rent is not the easiest option.)
why is your character affiliated with who they’re affiliated with?
when she was a child, anna ran away from home in fear, burying her last name and her past in the mississippi bayou. there was no life for her there, a little girl who ruined everything she touched (literally). she wasn’t a person so much as a magpie, a thief, a collector of other people’s souls. anyone she would have been before she ruined the first boy she’d ever kissed was long gone.
so she was taken in and raised by mystique and destiny, another mimic, another mutant, and trained to follow in their footsteps with the brotherhood. but she was a teenager, impressionable and scared, and nearly crushed under the weight of absorbing too much of carol danvers on a mission. the x-men saved her life. they gave her a second chance. they saw her as a person, not a weapon. they taught her how to stand on her own as herself, whatever that may be. they helped her learn to control her powers (for the most part) and to become whole, or something like it. she just wants to be fully realized as a person, and they’re the closest she’s come to it yet.
who are their major friends, allies, and foes?
major allies: the x-men
major friends: kurt wagner (her brother), remy lebeau, jean grey, logan howlett, maybe carol danvers these days? (it’s complicated)
major foes: so. this is complicated. in a way, destiny and mystique and the brotherhood as a whole. at the same time, they’re her family. yeah, thanksgiving is fun.
whose hands do they believe the country should be in?
it’s not her number one concern, but not the brotherhood, she can tell you that much. her issues are more personal than political, but she’d like someone who will treat them fairly, believes in second chances, and preferably not try to banish all the mutants.
what’s their current mental state at? their physical state?
her mental state is never good. she carries the residue of too many people with her wherever she goes, locking herself behind walls along with it. it can get noisy up there, at once too crowded and too lonely, and remy being gone as long as he was didn’t help. but she’s doing okay, all things considered. she’s got some handle over her powers by this point, people are back, nothing catastrophic has happened for her in a minute. could be better (could always be better), could be worse (has been worse). physically, she’s fine!
