CALLING ALL D.GRAY-MAN ARTIST AND ANALYSTS WHO LOVE TO ANALYZE THE SERIES!

Over the last two years we collaborated with over 150 artists to produce the 20th and 21st Anniversary Zines, projects dedicated to honoring the numerous moments that defined it as a story worth loving. For 2026, we look to honor the deep symbolism and character themes woven into D.Gray-Man with a Tarot Card project. 

This Tarot Zine will rely on contributors' ability to translate symbolism, story themes and character arcs into Tarot Cards. A Tarot deck, at the end of the day, is about the human experience and a vehicle to relay a story. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT TAROT OR BE EXPERTS TO PARTICIPATE! We will provide references and consultants will be there to help.

There are THREE ways to participate to the Zine :

Major Arcana or Minor Arcana Artist (78 slots): As an artist, you will create an illustration which encompasses your assigned Arcana Card. (i.e. Being assigned “The Fool” card and depicting Allen’s journey) You are tasked with understanding and doing research on your specific card and making sure your final illustrations reflect the established lore.

Tarot Analyst (Up to 22 slots): As an Analyst, you will transcribe the meaning of your assigned Arcana card and analyse their link with a DGM character or moment within the story. You do not have to know tarot deeply to be an analyst, just be someone who appreciates the symbolism and themes of DGM and willing to do research! This role will essentially be tasked with character and/or story analysis through the lens of Tarot with a final organized and written piece that'll accompany the art card in the Zine.

Tarot Specialist : we are looking for people really familiar with Tarot and DGM, and would like to be a potential resource for your fellow Artists and Analysts! 

Mods : You do not have to apply to be a mod, but if you want to help us organize this zine please leave a comment or PM us!

Just like all of our previous projects, this project will be free to view once completed. This is just our yearly tribute to the series we all love very dearly. If you're unsure about your English level, mods fluently speak English, French, Spanish, and Japanese and other contributors will surely be able to help you for other languages. If you have any questions, leave a comment below or send a PM.

Alright, m'dears. I have a few comms for friends already in the works, so to be transparent, if you're one of those who I already have a comm in the works for, you don't have to worry about the up in prices.

That being said, after it was suggest to me to work on a proper commission sheet ( i.e. hours total spent on / take physical health into consideration / etc ) I have done so. Still might be undercharging a bit, but I'm still in a teensy tiny bit of a 'I need to possibly rely on my friend' sort of conundrum until I can get some assistance IRL regarding certain things.

So, enough dawdling. Here's my updated commissions sheet. I packed it with as many examples as I could. Of course, I prefer it to be for people that know me, trust me, and already like my work enough to want a personalized piece, but so long as you understand my health situation and you're alright with my slower pace compared to others, then by all means. ♥

I'm going to keep these open for a wee bit. I've got an idea of my limit that I'll accept, and if I don't accept this time around, you'll be on a waitlist for the next round, so I can focus on what I've currently got first and foremost!

And yes, to pre-face, I have in fact stumbled into more things I thought I couldn't get any longer, and they're now dangling in front of my face like a carrot to a horse. So, while the prices are reasonable and they're available, I'd like to get them while I have a chance. There's also a pre-order that recently came out and the window is pretty small.
