On Aug. 12, the FDA reclassified a recall for nearly 1.6 million dozen white and brown cage-free eggs due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall is now Class I, which is considered "a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death," according to the FDA.

As of July 24, a salmonella outbreak linked to the recalled eggs has sickened at least 98 people and hospitalized 26 across 17 states. The illnesses were reported between Nov. 21, 2025, and June 30, 2026. The FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were aware of 26 hospitalizations due to the recall, but no deaths.

Yes, I was tearing through books constantly, and talking to this teacher at least weekly. Because even though I always loved reading as a kid, literature was always a very weak subject for me in terms of a teaching-to-standardized-test school setting (I just do awful on "what color were the curtains" type multiple choice questions. Those details don't stick in my memory THEY JUST DON'T). But that didn't matter for this class. I could just read my way out of any bad test score. I have always had fond memories of how I "fudged" my way through that class and "abused' the extra credit policy.

We got nothing yet, I am just hoping for $250-$300 so I can get groceries. I haven't eaten in three days and my stomach is eating itself it hurts. That and it's hard to consume my meds without anything with flavor. Plus my friend has been sleeping all day 😭 I know she isn't doing well either. My stomach HURTs that I chew in the inside of my mouth because I need stimulation, I'm irritated, my head hurts and my body is reaction bad about it.

Please help two mentally ill disabled people eat, it sucks that we can't drive to go anywhere we please. We are just stuck in the house with no support ATM and no food we are going to go crazy. I tried calling for a mutual aid in texas but that didn't work. My friend freaks out when I try to ask for help. Her parents are out of town and mine are doing their own business. I obviously had to keep an eye on the rest of the class, answering questions and helping with algebra, but each time I passed her desk she had more things to tell me.
