They jumped on me and told narcissist is a slur and I shouldn't use it.

I did my best to keep my cool and explained that I spent a long time censoring myself to make my narcissist comfortable and I will not do it again. I set a boundary and said the conversation was making me angry and we should move on.

They kept pushing. Talking down to me and pushing that should change my wording and not be ablest.

I went off a bit and explained in a more aggressive tone, blocked them. After thinking on it I decided to go back and get an admin involved. After an hour I unblocked the person to report it.

Only to find the admin yelling at me after I'd been silent for an hour. With the other person still going.

I will not have a stranger tell me I'm wrong for calling a duck a duck. There is nothing progressive about yelling and screaming at someone because a medical term hurts your feelings. My sibling is a narcissist and being told to shut up when I say that is fucking awful. I spent a long time shutting up.

This was what I meant. This is social just. Telling someone who went through hell that they are wrong because they might hurt a toxic person's soft whittle feelings.

You want people with NPD to recover, you say you empathize with them and the people around them by saying that, yet you don’t allow them in any healing spaces. “Because survivors here had narcissistic abusers!” That makes generalizing every person with NPD trying to find solace and a sense of community justified to you? Someone reaching out?

I would suggest you block this person. Please don't interact or argue with them, they're not worth it. Just block them.

At first i though they could be talking about narcissism the personality trait, not the disorder. But the tags on this reblog proved me wrong :

In addition to calling people with NPD "d*cks", they argue against the validity of disorder labels, including autism, BPD and NPD.

They call autism a "perfectly human reaction to the world we live in". They sound like the kind of ableist who downplays autistic struggles and claims that "everyone's a little autistic" or that autistic people are "the next step in human evolution".

you can acknowledge your abuse and talk about your abuser without calling them a narcissist or using ableist/sanist terms.

no matter your intentions, if you use terms like “narcissistic abuse” you are ableist/sanist.

oof i’m here with you so here’s what i’m doing to stay sane:

- small amounts of weight lifting (i know i’ll stress my body out beyond measure if given the chance so i only work with toning barbells)

- like 8 showers a day (it’s something to do instead of spiraling. put on music and turn your lights off.)

- online narc/aspd/low empathy communities (we all need attention and affection sometimes, and these groups are usually cool with attention seeking behavior)

- really loud music (block that negativity)

- go to hobby lobby (steal from here dont buy) or michaels and get a good amount of nonsense (new tedious hobbies help me take my mind off of myself)

-do your makeup/hair/get dressed up (make yourself feel good from the outside in, not always advisable but sometimes helps)

- movies about terrible people (this is a me thing but i’m like “oh look at least i’m not a genocidal dictator, just a person)

- scream about it to people (if you need anything or you feel like it’s too much, hit up your friends. or if they don’t exist or don’t understand, feel free to DM me and i’ll listen to you vent)
