Sufficient Nothings

“You act so tough all the time.” The words were as gentle as her kisses, pressed softly against her again and again. “You don't have to, you know. It's okay not to be.” Kasmeer was lingering, refusing to let space, anything, come between them. Her lips hovering over Marjory's, brushing, teasing, stoking the embers but not quite committing. It was slowly turning Jory into putty, all her focus tuning in on those almosts. “What if this is just me, sweetheart? No act required.” Kasmeer tsked, the noise echoing into her mouth, passed her parted aching lips. She wasn't buying what Jory was selling, but she didn't press further. All that mattered was that she wasn't pulling away.

Kasmeer had been so reckless, telling Jory how dangerous her voice was in such close quarters. It was a fact that Marjory made sure she would never forget.

Me reading my story outloud so I can edit it but it comes out sounding like this

Man, I hate that my mind has just decided that this concept is the thing it really really wants to think about now, instead of any of my current WIP I desperately want to finish.
