A stretch of stark white in the morning sun

The warmth filters onto my skin and it shimmers

I am made of light and the warmth is my home

I glimmer and I am made for golden rays

The whispers of feathers is my jingle

And my eyes see more than you could ever know

And my hair is made of the finest silk of the suns light

And my skin is born of sugar and citrus

And my body was carved from porcelain

When I touch someones skin I leave a trail of gold

And my hands hold ones soul so much softer than any other

I will see into you

I will know you

And I will kiss the cracks

And in a rustle of feathers you are tight in my embrace

Safe among my down

I hold you to my own

And I smile

And its like the sun itself is telling you

"you're perfect"

"you're safe"

I think what really made it click, other than the fact I spent a good thirty minutes crying to my partner about not having wings, was when I saw other peoples angelkin identities. Head wings, biblically accurate angels... And I thoight they were so cool. I want multiple wings! I LOVE head wings!! ...But I don't have those. My wings are only one pair, big and soft but fragile. They cannot fly, they can maybe get me a few feet off the ground, and you bet my halo I can flutter.
