how to be more wise (and mentally peaceful)
I've begin working on myself a year ago and I'm starting to feel more wise and I sense it, that in my everyday life I think differently, I'm more calm, peaceful and most of all, healthy in my mind !
Since I noticed these changes in my behavior I'm gonna tell you some things I did to achieve this mindset. I'm not saying that I'm a pro or that I know everything, all I know is that I thought about my behavior, I worked on some issues, I solved some habits that were energy wasting and people told me afterwards that I was mature, that I seemed toughtful,...
Change your mindset. Don't give too much attention to unimportant stuff. Don't be affected by small things, we don't care. Someone pushed you ? Push him back if you want but don't think about it all day. Don't let small details or mean people ruin your day. Also, don't stress over stuff you can't control, it's the same as above, It's a waste of energy so don't even calculate it, YOU DON'T CARE !
break the bad habits. If you know that you have childish bad habits or you have something about your behavior that you KNOW is bad, work and work and work to change it. It's easier to find a solution than a problem so be happy that you found (one of) the problem. Maybe you have anger issues, maybe you're easily stressed when something isn't going as you planned it, well get to know how to handle these situations and you'll stay calm during crisis. Not only is is a great asset but it also is a sign of wisdom.
Don't always react immediatly. Sometimes when you're overwelmed by an emotion you won't think properly and say or do things you shouldn't do/say. Learn to notice it and back of to calm yourself before doing something. Take your time to think about the situation calmly.
Choose your environment carefully. Friends, media content, music, ask yourself if your environment makes you feel anxious, angry or on the opposite calm, chill. What surround you will become the norm for your pov then if your friends have anger issues, you'll feel like it's no big deal. But if your friends are generally against, you'll adapt. If your friends are kind, you're likely to be kind.
Honesty is the key. Be honest with yourself and with others. First of all you need to be at least honest with yourself. Being honest with yourself allows you to be more objective with your actions, to judge them fairly and not be delusional. Maybe you're not seeing real issues, or maybe you're mean to yourself, saying "I worked hard but still missed, I'm so dumb" well you know that you worked hard so be honest with yourself, the grade doesn't define you, what you KNOW about yourself does.
Be kind. OFC don't be foolish but I've noticied that helping people has been very rewarding lately. I've always been happy when I could make someone happy but now I feel so chill, cool idk. Helping someone takes 5 min and it feels like you're so generous, it doesn't take much but trust me it will literally change the way people see you. I feel like this is a big reason why people see me as a mature person. I'm helping, unbothered, not angry. And I just know how good it feels to be arounf someone who's just chill, always calm, always smart, helpful ( my dad is like that) and I really sense that now people feel secure with me, I'm a nice person to be around. And it's just like the happiness of other makes me happy, I feel that people feel good around me and it's rewarding, it's nice to hear.
I hope this might have helped you ! Tell me in the comment if you want me to write about something specific and I'll do my best. Also feel free to comment if you have anything to add or say about what I wrote. Bye, love you. Liz <33
