FOR‎ ‎ WORSE‎ ‎ AND‎ ‎ FOR‎ ‎ BETTER,‎ ‎ this‎ ‎ day‎ ‎ could’ve‎ ‎ and‎ ‎ should’ve‎ ‎ gone‎ ‎ dramatically‎ ‎ different,‎ ‎ in‎ ‎ dazzler’s‎ ‎ humble,‎ ‎ honest‎ ‎ opinion.‎ ‎ for‎ ‎ starters,‎ ‎ why‎ ‎ can’t‎ ‎ supervillains‎ ‎ take‎ ‎ a‎ ‎ break‎ ‎ for‎ ‎ once?‎ ‎ what‎ ‎ is‎ ‎ it‎ ‎ about‎ ‎ a‎ ‎ wednesday‎ ‎ morning‎ ‎ that‎ ‎ makes‎ ‎ them‎ ‎ think‎ ‎ it’s‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ right‎ ‎ time ‎ to‎ ‎ unleash‎ ‎ havoc‎ ‎ and‎ ‎ wreak‎ ‎ chaos‎ ‎ on‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ city‎ ‎ before‎ ‎ it’s‎ ‎ even‎ ‎ ten?‎ ‎ or‎ ‎ at‎ ‎ least‎ ‎ wait‎ ‎ ‘til‎ ‎ ali‎ ‎ got‎ ‎ home‎ ‎ from‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ morning‎ ‎ run?

the‎ ‎ unexpected‎ ‎ was‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ expected‎ ‎ norm‎ ‎ at‎ ‎ this‎ ‎ point,‎ ‎ and‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ singer‎ ‎ just‎ ‎ wanted‎ ‎ a‎ ‎ few‎ ‎ moments‎ ‎ of‎ ‎ mentally‎ ‎ shouting‎ ‎ into‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ void‎ ‎ as‎ ‎ she‎ ‎ readied‎ ‎ herself‎ ‎ for‎ ‎ confronting‎ ‎ bad‎ ‎ guy‎ ‎ number ‎ 267 ‎ —‎ ‎ simply ‎ a‎ ‎ few‎ ‎ moments‎ ‎ would‎ ‎ suffice,‎ ‎ but‎ ‎ oh,‎ ‎ those‎ ‎ very‎ ‎ few‎ ‎ moments‎ ‎ were‎ ‎ more‎ ‎ than‎ ‎ enough‎ ‎ to‎ ‎ transform‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ entire‎ ‎ life‎ ‎ in‎ ‎ one‎ ‎ strike.

despite‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ starstruck ‎ daze ‎ in‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ eyes‎ ‎ and‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ faint ‎ golden‎ ‎ radiance‎ ‎ swarming‎ ‎ her,‎ ‎ those‎ ‎ words,‎ ‎ miraculously,‎ ‎ were‎ ‎ not‎ ‎ what‎ ‎ left‎ ‎ alison’s‎ ‎ mouth‎ ‎ when‎ ‎ she‎ ‎ looked‎ ‎ up‎ ‎ to‎ ‎ meet‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ pale‎ ‎ doe‎ ‎ eyes‎ ‎ of‎ ‎ a‎ ‎ PINK-HAIRED‎ ‎ ANGEL‎ ‎ approaching‎ ‎ her.

“huh?‎ ‎ uh,‎ ‎ yeah‎ ‎ -‎ ‎ sure?”‎ ‎ dazz‎ ‎ wasn’t‎ ‎ sure‎ ‎ what‎ ‎ she‎ ‎ just‎ ‎ agreed‎ ‎ to,‎ ‎ every‎ ‎ word‎ ‎ that‎ ‎ left‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ woman’s‎ ‎ mouth‎ ‎ washed‎ ‎ over‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ like‎ ‎ a‎ ‎ blessing,‎ ‎ but‎ ‎ she‎ ‎ thankfully‎ ‎ had‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ sense‎ ‎ to‎ ‎ ADAPT‎ ‎ and‎ ‎ NOT‎ ‎ FREAK‎ ‎ OUT‎ ‎ when‎ ‎ she‎ ‎ was‎ ‎ swept‎ ‎ literally‎ ‎ from‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ feet,‎ ‎ arms‎ ‎ instinctively‎ ‎ wrapping‎ ‎ around‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ other’s‎ ‎ shoulders,‎ ‎ but ‎ she‎ ‎ was‎ ‎ having‎ ‎ a‎ ‎ hard,‎ ‎ hard‎ ‎ time‎ ‎ trying‎ ‎ to‎ ‎ process‎ ‎ what‎ ‎ was‎ ‎ going‎ ‎ on‎ ‎ —‎ ‎ like‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ soul‎ ‎ had‎ ‎ left‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ body‎ ‎ and‎ ‎ her‎ ‎ mind‎ ‎ the‎ ‎ driver’s‎ ‎ seat‎ ‎ for‎ ‎ ten‎ ‎ whole‎ ‎ minutes.

❥ Chaos was inevitable. The universe had decided years and years ago that no one caught a break, like, ever. No matter the day, no matter the time… something would always happen. Maybe these were the times that Kiwa’s already horrible schedule helped her out? She was used to adjusting on the fly, to going with the flow.. so that meant villains at eight am on a Wednesday morning was just another blip in the chaotic day to day.

Or, well… it could’ve been. Dealing with supervillains? The usual business. Seeing one of her all time favorite music artists WHILE dealing with supervillains? That was something else entirely. How was she supposed to be normal about this?! How would ANYONE be normal about it?

Kiwa guessed she’d just have to wing it. Easy enough, right? She had two of ‘em!

It was a little surprising to Kiwa that her offer to carry the other towards safety was accepted so quickly, but she wasn’t one to argue.

With strong arms now having securely lifted Dazzler off the ground, Kiwa shifted the other woman ever so slightly to get a better hold. She wouldn’t risk any injuries here! Wings shifted as Kiwa glanced down at the singer in her arms with a smile full of brightness that mirrored the sun.
