You know who you are.  You’re NOT the majority.  You are the people who the rest of the fandom can’t stand.  Above is only a tiny sampling of why.

Here are three different people in the animation industry, two of which are part of the SU crew, informing you of just how fucking wrong your behavior is.

It’s not just on tumblr, either.  There are articles about this.  Forums completely unrelated to animation whatsoever are talking about it.  There is now a “Know Your Meme” page about it.  Even the Daily Dot, which usually operates on a bias, is condemning it.

My condolences for all of the sane fans who just want to enjoy the show without feeling embarrassed about it.

For all of the amazing people this show has brought together, there is a certain handful of resentful creatures who seem hellbent on being miserable every second of every day, and making sure to spread it wherever they go.  These are the people who need to be pointed out and ostracized even further.

To these people:

It’s over.  And you brought this all on yourselves.

You did this all over a motherfucking CARTOON.  You couldn’t differentiate between reality and fiction for a few fuckin’ minutes of animation.  You saw rainbows and magic, and deliberately tried to find serious social taboos.  You took identifying with something to an EXTREMELY DISTURBING LEVEL.

Nobody had to “make up” a single damn thing about you.  We didn’t need to make “callout  blogs” about you that were filled with nothing but “my friend said this person is _____, so it’s true”.  Everything above is YOUR OWN WORDS.  Everything being criticized here is YOUR OWN CONDUCT.

You were never the victims here.  Aside from a few obvious trolls that took advantage of the situation (including trolls that us “mean anti-sjws” actually pointed out, rather than just allow others to believe were legitimate SU fans), NO ONE WAS EVER INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO HARM OR OFFEND YOU.  Aside from those aforementioned trolls, there was no deliberate whitewashing, fat shaming, etc:  YOU were the ones who interpreted things to be that way, because you seriously TRY to find reasons to feel like a “victim” in your predominantly privileged lives, as if that’s EVER a psychologically healthy way of living.  Then, in the most vile insult of all, you have the sheer, unmitigated gall to bring up the very real suffering of others in this world, and try to use it to justify your behavior.  You throw murdered LGBTA people under buses left and right because you think it’s a viable excuse for why you’re “allowed” to bully others over FAN ART.  Those are HUMAN BEINGS.  They are not martyrs for your sick, twisted idea of “social justice”.

Is this how you need to define yourself?  Are you really nothing more than a few labels?  Are you really nothing more than a “victim”?  Is there nothing more to your personality–no other reasons for anyone to give a fuck about you besides feeling SORRY for you?  Is that really how you want to be viewed by others?  Like a fuckin’ sick puppy at the pound?  Is there truly nothing else that interests you that you want to share with the world besides how “offended” you are?

It was never about your race, gender identity, body type, or sexuality.

It was always about how you treated others.

You treated other human beings like shit, and there is nothing on this planet that can justify that.  Nothing about you is a “get out of being a douchebag free” card.  Being bitter about your life is NEVER an excuse.  I don’t care what the fuck you went through in life–you treat others how YOU want to be treated.

Now you know what karma feels like.
