- Driver df picks somewhere quiet. No crowded restaurants, No loud music Probably a late-night diner or somewhere open late where there aren’t too many people watching bc of his job and also just hates lots of other people.

- He 100% shows up early because he hates the idea of making you wait. Then he spends ten minutes sitting in the car gripping the steering wheel trying to calm down before coming inside he just trying to calm down chewing on gum, listening to the radio anything.

- Driver absolutely thinks you’re too good for him the entire time… he overreacted If you dress up even a little he has moments where he just stares because he cannot believe someone that beautiful agreed to be there with him like in his head he overthinking it that you just went out with him bc you feel bad or whatever

- He’s not good at flirting his version of romance is: “text me when you get inside.” “you eat today?”

- The second he gets back into his car afterward he just sits there for a minute staring ahead replaying every single thing you said to him he just feels so lucky and happy to to have found you

Summary- hc of you and driver (mostly driver trying to talk to you) this is a part 2 to my other driver hc but this can be read without knowing part 1 🤍

Warning- driver is a bit of stalker ig, also he has a hard time communicating with others just how I hc him! 

- He starts waiting for you without realizing it. If he hears your apartment door open while he’s leaving, he slows down near the elevator hoping you’ll catch up so you can walk downstairs together. Again he try’s to make the is normal or justify it in his head that he not creepy he just wants to see you or listen too you

- Driver remembers every single detail you tell him and thinks about how it to himself. For example you mention having a stressful day bc of a meeting happening in a week at work he thinks about it how it could go what he should say or do if it’s went bad and what other ppl do to help them a week later he quietly asks, “That meeting go okay?”

- When it comes to eye contact it’s difficult for him. Early on he mostly looks beside you, at the floor, at your hands anywhere except directly at your face for too long he hates it but he can’t really control it it was the same when he was younger and couldn’t look adult or strangers in the eye. But he does try for short periods of time!

- He overanalyses every interaction afterward.

“Did I sound weird?”

“Why did I say that?”

“Did that come across as rude?!”

Meanwhile you literally just asked him what kind of cereal he buys.

- When he gets home late from his other job.. he tired, has no one to talk to and has nothing to do so he lays down on this bed and gets his phone out and looks at your social media acc your pictures on holiday, out with your friends, your family, your pets he likes to see your life with a outsider view and know everything and everyone in your life he looks at your friends acc too just to see if he missed a photo of you. (I accidentally liked a photo from 2014 and deleted everything even tho it was a alt ac)

- Driver absolutely communicates through acts of service instead of words. Your groceries magically get carried upstairs. Your laundry basket is suddenly heavier because he slipped dryer sheets into it because he overheard you saying you ran out. He realises that if he can’t say anything to you or can’t find the words he’ll just help you in some way.

I rewatched sinner..

- I don’t think he would be bitten by a vampire maybe a got infected by some sort of virus or science experiment went wrong during his younger years before he went into teaching maybe early 20’s?

- df thinks he’s “a scientist first” He keeps meticulous logs about blood types, feeding frequency, body temperature changes I think that sunlight to him is what it’s like for bats his eye sight get worse and is very sensitive to most day time stuff

- He probably still finds a way to still go outside like grew to have a tolerance of it by some sciences way or did a lot of research into it, sunlight it weakens him badly. He compares it to severe radiation exposure but to be sure a always leave early to get into school and stay super late when the sun is setting so people don’t think he crazy for wearing a jacket in 30 degrees weather with no cloud in the sky

- He also df tried synthetic blood before feeding from a human. Probably spent decades trying to engineer an ethical alternative because the guilt would eat him alive more than the hunger ever. He learn that animals blood helps and raw meat like fish help too it doesn’t take away the full hunger but I don’t see him as a human blood drinker like the smell makes his mouth water and gets him hungry but the thought of it just makes him sick and couldn’t do that ever

- Probs get super into star gazing again bc he doesn’t need to worry about the sun and other people around cause how late it is at night. His heightened awareness as made it hard to be in crowds cause he can hear and smell everything like bat.. soo he mostly alone I think he would see himself as a potential threat to others due to a lot he doesn’t understand fully yet so he stays away from slot of people

- This man dose everything to seem normal for example he carry’s a hot water bottle to raise his temperature up so he not cold and buts on multiple layers to help, try’s to shave down his fangs so no one will ask about them and has thought about fake tan before because some mention how hot it is. He has blamed that he either has a weak immune system or is constantly in the lab and can’t get out much which is a win win for everyone in his opinion

- Would love those dramatic vampire shows and movies like watching them for fun but at one time used them has a rule book of what he can’t and can’t do

Summary - just hc of driver liking you before you even starting talking

Warning!! - stalking-ish idk, I hc driver has having a bad time socialising just my opinion!, driver yearning you

- driver instantly knew you were new he had never seen your face before he memorise most of the people in the apartment even though he never spoke to any of them. You stood at his door introducing yourself as the new neighbour at apartment 105. He was silent just nodding to whatever you were saying not even a facial expression or awkward smile.

- After a awkward moment of just you talking saying how “if you need anything just to ask” because your happy to help driver just nods and shut the door in your face, you think he hates you or that you annoyed him but in reality he could feel his burn up and his hands shaking of nervous

- After the first 2 week you start to introduce yourself to more people but he starts to feel tense about it. Not angry exactly…. But his jaw starts to tightens he doesn’t like it even though you two don’t even talk and he probably made a first bad impression with you. He won’t admit but he jealous that the other neighbours can hold a conversation and he can’t with you.

- So he practices conversations with you while driving alone. Like entire fake scenarios where he actually says the right thing and makes you laugh instead of standing there silent like usual. For example him asking you out for coffee or dinner and you actually saying yes while he acts chill knowing what to say instead of going cold. Or you two hanging out driving around the city at night talking about life.

- He wants to see you more and more so Driver starts timing his grocery trips around yours. He pretends he “just got there” to himself so he doesn’t feel like a creep but he’s been sitting in the car psyching himself up for ten minutes, telling himself that he should just go up and talk to you again ask how your day was maybe ask if you need a hand with your groceries but fails.

- When he driving late at night trying to clear his head he’ll put the radio on and when a song comes on he starts to think of you like trying and make the song about you in anyway possible, he’ll close his eyes and think about you, your voice, your eyes, your hands.. until he suddenly interrupted by a car almost crashing into him.

- Driver absolutely keeps small things you accidentally leave behind. A hair tie forgotten in the laundry room. A receipt with your handwriting on it. He stares at them longer than he should before guiltily putting them away. Even though he doesn’t have the words for you he still enjoys having a small part of you around maybe he gets the courage to talk to you one day..
