Suguru walked into the dorms after a particularly brutal mission, looking like he just wanted to collapse in on himself. You were sitting on the couch eating some sweets with Shoko giggling about some random thing you both saw on TV the previous night. 

“Doing okay Suguru?” You asked. looking up at the somber looking man. He sighs, not responding. Walking off towards the direction of the showers. You noticed when his back was facing you that his usually flawless hair was tangled and matted, almost like he’d been neglecting it. Later that night after you had been in your dorm for a few hours mindlessly staring at the ceiling wondering what was really going on with Suguru. curiosity got the better of you, and you decided to walk down to his dorm. Hesitating before knocking softly

“Hello?” You could hear his tired voice through the door.

“Suguru? It’s me.”

The door opened promptly showing a very exhausted man on the other side. Still in his robe from the shower, hair dripping wet and still in the same bun.

“I’m worried about you.” You started looking into his lifeless eyes.

He just nodded, not making eye contact “okay.”

You almost pushed your way into his dorm, seeing how disorganized everything was. A truly stark contrast to the normal border line clean freak that you were used to “Can I help you in anyway?”

He shook his head, his hair was stiff from the lack of attention. You walked over reaching your hand up to touch his hair, it was so unkempt at this point. 

“Let me help you with this. Please.”

He knew you weren’t going to give up so easily, and gave into your request. Normally he’d rather die than have anyone touch his hair, but with you it felt like it was going to be okay. “Alright then.”

You were shocked at his lack of resistance to the situation, walking into his small storage area you pulled out his brush and a few of his hair care items. 

“Sit down on that chair. I’ll have your hair back into shape in no time,” you smiled softly. He obeyed, sitting down, getting everything ready and you began tackling the task at hand. It was worse than you could’ve imagined, but you were determined to do this for him. Gently taking the elastic band out, his hair didn’t falter. taking the brush out sectioning it off as much as you could before beginning the long lengthy brushing process. He was very still the entire time, and oddly quiet. After hours of intense brushing, de-matting, and getting his hair back to its normal state. You finally finished, admiring your handiwork for a moment. You decided to braid it to ensure it wouldn’t get tangled again.

“All done.” You softly stated bringing the man out of his disassociative state, he slowly got up glancing at himself in the mirror. You could see small bubbles of tears forming in his eyes, “Thank you.”

You nodded trying to lighten the mood a little bit more “anytime Suguru, if you ever feel like it’s too much I’ll always be happy to help.”

Suguru turned around to face you before wrapping his arms around you tightly. “That means the world to me.” Tears slipped out of his eyes “Truly”

You nodded and hugged him back “Of course, do you need anything else while I’m here?”

“If I can be selfish?” He asked gently, you nodded “Am I able to just hold you? For a little while?”

“Anything Suguru.” You smiled allowing him to lean into you a little more than he had been before, your hand came up to stroke his newly detangled hair. Soft sobs emitted from the normally stoic man. Knowing he wasn’t ready to talk about what was on his mind you silently comforted him. Eventually sitting on the couch where he rested his head on your shoulder drifting off into a deep sleep.
