Love horror, mostly old school horror.
How long? (months/years): Since high school. Tblr? Since '12.
Platforms You've Used: Table top, places like The Keep and Cyber Chat when it existed, and here. Discord doesn't count. It's not a website where I can keep profiles and chapters and easily find references.
Best Experience: Table top was fun but very limited. The Keep and Cyber Chat are too fast; feels like people just staring at you snapping their fingers and clapping their hands saying, "Go. Come on. WRITE." and I'd rather not RP at all. I get the same feeling on Discord sometimes. Tumblr is the perfect balance of archiving and writing when you're in the mood.
Female or Male: Male. Years ago, I felt pressured to make a female, and I do love her. She's not a problem whatsoever to me, but people with lots of female muses didn't even look at her. So that felt a bit ironic. I still have her, and some of my nearest and dearest write with her. That's all that matters. I'm not male, and I like playing a different perspective than my own.
Fluff, Angst, or Smut: I think it's all appropriate when an actual storyline and history and rapport have been made between characters. Like, my Rune has had all of that, and nothing has felt out of place. What feels out of place most of the time is thrusting him into a pre-established relationship with no history to go on, and then the two characters feel awkward because... we have no history. No history to say 'doing that will bother the other character' until it happens. Don't like that.
Plots or Memes: So based on what I said above, plot first for a foundation, memes after. @sicklysweetnothings, @violeteyedkiller, and @wildroseofarran and @mournus can throw things at the wall and they will stick because the history has been made with most pairings. We know what feels right and what won't.
Long or Short Replies: Both, please. Preferably in the same chapter! Saying you always need two paragraphs is restricting. What if they're just chatting? Not everything needs to be an internal monologue to fill in unnecessary space. If it needs to be short, fine, and long when action is actually happening. ~ Organic ~ is the theme. lol
Best time to write: For me, early morning when I'm not distracted by people talking to me, or late at night when people are in bed, so I can focus. I have AD(H)D and if people are wanting to chat with me (which there is nothing wrong with that) most of the time, I'm not writing at the same time unless it's a not-think-y story.
Are you like your muse(s): I've given a piece of myself into each of my characters. I feel like that's important for getting into their headspaces. Maximus is depression but resilience. Lirim is naive like my youth, and needing to feel at home in his own skin. Olek and Leslie are hopelessly optimistic. Fletcher is distrust. Mason was cynical, now he's learning to heal from his past. It's all something I can relate to from at least one point in my life, no matter how small.
