We lost a legend today. The man responsible for probably 75% of what I watched through my childhood into my teen years.

He founded Cartoon Network - the first ever 24-hour cartoon channel because he loved cartoons.

He put World Championship Wrestling on national television and ran it for several years at a LOSS because he loved pro wrestling and helped usher in wrestling's biggest boom period in history.

He created and executive produced Captain Planet and inspired a generation to take care of our environment.

He green lit Monstervision with host Joe Bob Briggs.

He created Turner Classic Movies - another 24-hour channel that shows classic films with no commercial breaks.

I could go on, but Ted Turner was one of the good guys. God bless, and rest in peace.

i'm so sick of people treating trans people's pronouns as some kind of reward you get if you've been a good tranny.

A declassified World War II-era government guide to “simple sabotage” is currently one of the most popular open source books on the internet. In other words, teaching people to do their jobs badly.”  Over the last week, the guide has surged to become the 5th-most-accessed book on Project Gutenberg, an open source repository of free and public domain ebooks. It is also the fifth most popular ebook on the site over the last 30 days, having been accessed nearly 60,000 times over the last month (just behind Romeo and Juliet).

goodrx is the most well known one, but if i'm trying to find the cheapest price for a patient i compare it to scriptcycle, and use whichever is offering the best price. you just type in the medication (PLEASE make sure you're getting the right drug, dosage, and quantity) and your zip code and they will spit out some offers for you

some pharmacies may have their own discount card to compare to as well!

if you are getting a name brand medication, you can also look at the manufacturer's website to see if they offer any evouchers for you to use too
