Surviving the 20's

I started a tumblr to share my life with people. Like everyone else, I have a lot of interests, opinions, and experiences. And normally I’m happy to just watch similar people on YouTube, but I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for anymore.

I turn 25 in five days. I am a horticulturist (I play with plants all day). I live alone. I have a husky named Sam. And none of this is what I planned to be at 25. Oops.

 When we’re little, we think about what we want to be, right? I saw my sister getting married at 19, then having her first baby at 25. She worked as a bank teller. 12 year old me thought, that’s it. When I’m 25, I’ll have my degree in engineering, be married, and be having my first kid. That’s the right way to do things. 

*Insert long fart noise*

Engineering turned out to be really boring in college. I’m sure it’s a great fit for some people, but not for me. People said I would grow out of my interests as a child. I loved to play video games, read, and had a mild obsession with Harry Potter. I never grew out of those things, I just got old enough to work and could buy more objects that fed those passions. I now have a Lord of the Rings tattoo, and just bought a birthday present for myself in the form of a restored N64 to play Zelda OoT on.
