In the music video there is a story being presented about a young teen boy who realizes he’s in love with his best friend who is also the same gender as him. When the parents of the boy realized he was into guys he was kicked out of the house, he was physically being abused, he was “Out of his mind”. He went over to his friends house, they slept in the same bed that night until his friend's father saw them together. The boy was kicked out, he was alone “I just wanna die today, I just wanna die”. The purpose of this song was to create a song that would have a noticeable impact on others. To express the way they share the moment they feel within themselves. This music video and its song has impacted a huge audience including fans, those who are going through a situation where they find no escape, this song was for the people who suffer from some type of pain, trauma, and just anything horrible. “Your music saved my life”, “This hotline has helped me out. That's all”, “I work at a suicide hotline, yesterday a client called because of this song. He was in desperate need of a helping hand and caring words. You saved a life because of this song my friend.” These are the words of fans and a suicide hotline worker. This shows how this song helped many out there that someone is here for them. Logic was born to Robert Bryson Hall, a black Maryland native, and a white mother. Between his father and mother, he has seven half-siblings.
