So, as we know, all characters in Fallout are ranked on the SPECIAL system, comprising of Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck. And I had this thought of ‘why not make a little seven day thing that you can fill in for your OCs?’

So, here’s the breakdown and some guidance for how you can approach it. Or approach it your own way! The questions provided below each category are there to help, but talk about it however you like!

Day 1 - Strength

How physically strong is your OC?

How good are they in melee or hand to hand combat?

Do they just punch things or are they trained in martial arts?

Can they carry very heavy guns around easily or carry loads of supplies, or are they not that strong?

Day 2 - Perception

How good is your OC’s eyesight? Can they see well in low light conditions?

How quickly or slowly do they notice anything suspicious?

How good is their aim? (this can be with any weapon or a punch)

How do they see the world around them?

Day 3 - Endurance

What is your OC’s overall fitness level?

How long can they exert themself before tiring?

Are they good at swimming, sprinting, running or climbing?

How well can they adapt to environmental pressures?

Day 4 - Charisma

How persuasive is your OC?

How easily can they obtain information that others may be less willing or inclined to share?

How much verbal charm do they have?

Can they carry themselves with confidence?

Day 5 - Intelligence

Can your OC read, write and do basic math?

What was the basis of their education i.e. were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?

Do they favour brains over brawn?

How good are they with technology?

Day 6 - Agility

How fast can your OC react to sudden changes?

How good are they in combat situations where they are constantly moving?

Are they quick on the draw with their weapons or not?

Can they manoeuvre quickly around a slower assailant?

Day 7 - Luck

How fortunate (or not) overall is your OC?

Do they seem to stumble upon necessary supplies easily or never seem to find what they need?

Have they survived an injury that, had it been someone else, would have been fatal?

Do good things or bad things happen more around them?

Here me out- I strictly remember walking into his quarters when my Sole was given the space by Maxson and rooting through his shit. I had a few funny thoughts on small things like few “aww he was keeping a food bowl for Dogmeat” and “nice choice in sunglasses (aviators)”

But the one that kinda stuck with me was “wait? I can’t drink w him around but he’s got bottles of liquor in here?”

Why would a supposed “straight laced good little soldier boy” have alcohol in his personal quarters? Especially if he doesn’t like it when the Sole Survivor drinks?

I personally think it’s because he’s a recovering or struggling alcoholic.

It would make sense why he would have liquor and why he’d get upset if Sole drinks, because he doesn’t want them to fall into the habit he has and maybe he’s seen what it can do to people. Hell he could have picked it up in River City, quit when he joined the BOS, and picked it back up after losing Cutler as a way to drown his sorrows or maybe even after returning to the Prydwen from Cambridge as a way to calm down after the intense stress of being nearly stranded in the commonwealth.
