( might move this blog to running mostly on a queue, except on weekends maybe, to be honest ... i just think it’ll be easier for me to do something like that so i can pick at drafts and queue them up during school days when i have downtime instead of feeling committed to responding to them right when i get notifications of y’all’s responses. i love how quick some of y’all are, and i was like that over the summer and most of last school year, but i think it would be better for my mental & physical health if i focus on school work n my own down time during the week. so i think that’s what i may end up doing. and ofc, ooc posts/dash games/headcanons/calls/etc may just appear out of nowhere instead of being part of the queue. it’ll be especially easy for me to do things like that with threads and asks, so i can take my time to work on my responses at my own pace. i kind of want to try to be more attentive to my own body and my needs this school year, and sometimes when i stay on here and reply en masse to things i owe to folks, which is NONE of your guys’ fault by the way, it’s 100% mine, i tend to forget about how hungry i am, assignments that i need to do for school, eat, take my vitamins, & make time for myself to just lay down and rest my chronically sore back and muscles and just watch youtube, cartoons, netflix, whatever i’m feeling. i hope y’all understand. i love y’all <333 )

»» ──────ஓ๑⚘๑ஓ ────── ««     ᴛʜᴇ  ʙᴏʏ  ʙʟɪɴᴋᴇᴅ,   suddenly  overtaken  by  that  now  incredibly  familiar  sense  of  curiosity.   this  individual  wasn’t  quite  like  anything  he  had  ever  seen  before  ;   he  didn’t  quite  look  like  a  dragon,  although  he  could  technically  be  one,  given  the  sheer  amount  of  differences  he’d  seen  in  all  the  dragons  he’d  come  across  so  far.   but  what  struck  him  as  ODD  was  how  the  newcomer  spoke  his  language,  and  likely  could  understand  him  as  well.   he  cleared  his  throat  awkwardly,  placing  a  hand  on  thunder’s  snout  to  calm  him  as  he  stood.   ❝ o-oh,  uh  ...  i’m  tom.   i  live  aboveground,  but  i  kinda  just  come  here  from  time  to  time  ...  seems  like  i’m  not  the  only  one  who’s  found  this  place  ... ❞

a magnificent soot-black stallion stands at the water's edge. his coat is glossy and sleek, his eyes burning with unseen intelligence. he nickers softly, not in fear... in an invitation. this is the curious lure of a kelpie. a malevolent water spirit hailing from scottish origins. their thick coat has supernatural qualities to it. a certain stickiness that like a spider's web, entangles the prey so the kelpie can drag its victims into the water, drowning them. the sole survivors of kelpie attacks have been those who cut off their hands or fingers in an attempt to escape from its sticky fur.   the kelpie scatters its victim's entrails around the edges of its body of water, a sort of trophy for its accomplishments. almost as if it is proud. proud to be the cause for so much misery. you are an enchanting individual. whether or not you choose to speak, what you do say has those listening leaning in. you are free-spirited, wandering. or maybe you are just running from something. commitment, responsibility, stress. often times it is hard to tell the difference. nevertheless, you are someone who cannot be chained down. you are constantly seeking other options, exploring other ways. it is your free spirit which connects the kelpie to you. maybe it envies your freedom, it is forever chained to the river whereas you are free to journey where you please. it longs to be by your side, to guide you through life's turmoils. just be warned. there are a few things the kelpie cannot protect you from. curiosity can get the best of you, just as it has so many before you...
