“Etro d-damn it all!”

She had no idea how she had wound up here. Only so recently had the Fall of Cocoon happened, and she had been busy hunting and clearing out areas to be colonized. Then, in the blink of an eye, she found herself enveloped in a white light, and now, she was caught in a massive snowy wasteland with nothing recognizable-

“Shit!”

She cursed as she felt a chunk of ice (or frozen rock, she had no idea at this point, really) cut her skin and expose more of her AMP Synaptic Network to the elements… and she had already quickly discovered that her Synaptic Network was not protected from the cold… at all. She was freezing, and very, very, very much compromised. And it really, really, really pissed her off.

“Ah-!”

She tripped, and fell flat on her face. She grimaced…. she swore she could see civilization as her vision faded to black.

Fortunately, for her sake, a small patrol of knights found her and rescued her. When the healer available looked over her, and dropped her teeth.

“Someone contact Master Garlond! These nerves have technology in them!”

A courier was sent off instantly, and came tearing in to the Skysteel Manufactory.

“Apologies for my rudeness, Master Garlond! The head healer at Falcon’s Nest requests your presence immediately. I do not know how to explain it… it is something you must see with your own eyes to believe!”  

The sudden outburst from the infirmary courier causes him to drop the blueprints to his desk as he puts his hands up in a placating gesture. “Woah, slow down! Why the healer would need my assistance?” He moves towards workshop’s coat rack to grab his outer coat.

“My apologies, Master Garlond!” The courier takes a deep breath to compose himself. “Our patrol of knights at Falcon’s Nest found a young lady in Western Coerthas wounded and unconscious, As our healers set to tend to her they found what appears to be, um... Magitek? In her body.”

“Magitek inside her?” Cid grabs his coat, putting it on as he strides out of the Manufactory towards the chocobo keep. “Now that is interesting,” he murmurs, mostly to himself. “How serious are her wounds?”

“They are not life-threatening, but the magitek prevents our healers from treating her.”

“Hmmm...”

I feel like I owe everyone a bit of explanation of why I suddenly halted all of my roleplaying on Tumblr around November/December last year (2015). The TLDR explanation is that:

I had a lot of RL to deal with as is normal for the holidays plus,

How SE killed midcore groups with Alexander Gordias (this is especially noticeable on Midgardsormr) and,

My own Coil static breaking shortly after beating T13 for the first and last time soon after Heavensward’s release.

I intend to eventually roleplay again, but at the moment, it will have to be at a very, very, very slow pace. A more detailed explanation is under the read more.
