as someone who has never worked retail in her life it’s crazy how awesome jewelry is and how terrible clothing is. at jewelry store im literally top seller bc i make friends with everyone and sales feel like much more of a personal achievement plus its so fun. whereas at reformation i am treated like a servant by spoiled children all day

yeah just since the fall! but yeah the quality of life with nature and stuff, plus it just takes so much more energy to do basically anything, and everything has to be such a big THING . every new restaurant is the best and you always have to make reservations, everything’s crowded, and everyone is trying SO hard to be cool all the time and has an agenda and is grinding like make it stop pleaseee

sorry you don’t feel like you belong here :( california is so amazing and beautiful and i feel so at home there but it is so deeply surreal and sinister sometimes, i felt if i didn’t leave now i would get stuck there forever

omg i’ve never been to anyyyyy😔😔 edinburgh looks so beautiful and awesome i would love to go there. and scottish people seem so fun . i know nothing about krakow and i really wanted to go to berlin when i was abroad but never had a good chance i guess!! i am very curious as to what its actually like i feel like people have very strong opinions

Nyc?

i am not one of the people who is like omg new york is soooo amazing i could never leave, maybe i haven’t been here long enough to be bonded but i am quite sure ill never be like that. and i find that mindset kind of annoying . objectively the quality of life here is worse than it was in SF by some pretty large factors, its nice to be around a lot of art shows and there’s a good figure drawing studio but in general everything else is more annoying and difficult… everywhere is so crowded and overrun and more expensive and not good parks. also socially everyone is so booked and busy all the time you can’t just chill. it’s very lonely

i dont really l have a strong reason to be here, i just couldn’t think of anywhere else. i feel like im not tapped in to whatever inspiration/magic feeling/community that makes people put up with the living conditions. maybe i will be but i feel like im too old and used to a good/CA quality of live to develop that . i also have been had genuinely some of the worst most depressing times in my life while being here idk

#sorry this is so negative!!!!! if my life was different i’m sure it would be great to live here but it’s not #i am still accepting these i’m hungover and going to watch soccer highlights .

i haven’t been to either!! my freshman year roommate was from the twin cities and we were very close until she tuned out to be terrible. it seems nice though

i have only been to bergen in norway despite spending time in scandinavia, i was in copenhagen for a semester which was awesome and i have family in sweden. i have a half norwegian friend who was just there though she likes it a lot
