Danced for close to three hours on concrete in a bar, three Balkan bands played. Best was led by a singer and guitarist from Sarajevo. A lot of Bulgarian, Macedonian kids are here. In the morning certain I was crippled for life, both legs & back, then a long soak in a hot tub raised me to a sort of convalescent state. The best way to listen to music is dancing – sitting you just don’t hear it as intensely as when your body is moving to it. Listening is about more than ears, it’s feeling the music with your whole body. - Michael Lipsey
