Este es un AU bastante basiquito la verdad, no tiene mucha magia, los animatrónicos son atrapados en el circo digital, esto está ubicado tiempo después de el último episodio, y oh vaya! resulta que los abstraidos pueden volver de la abstracción pero es un proceso bastante duro y tardado ☝🦐, pero en fin, veremos a Lily(Jax), Ribbit, Quennie y a un recién desabtraido Koufmo, los demás siguen en proceso!

Mai struggles with her lack of empathy in a similar way Puppet does, but instead of withdrawing from people, she becomes obsessed with displaying what she believes are the objectively "correct" emotions. Happy is good, so she is always happy. Smiling is good, so she is always smiling. Helping people is good, so she always extends a hand. She is pretty, approachable, cheerful, optimistic to an almost absurd degree, and yet people still don't like her. She's still "off." The song repeatedly circles around the idea that no matter how perfectly you perform, you'll always LACK something. Mai follows every social rule she can identify, but because she doesn't actually understand the emotional foundation beneath those rules, the performance never convinces anyone. She doesn't understand why relentless positivity can hurt someone because, to her, positivity and sadness are simply opposites. If sadness is painful, why wouldn't you want to erase it? If smiling makes people happy, why wouldn't you smile all the time? She's genuinely convinced she's arrived at the objectively correct way to exist and is extremely frustrated that despite her efforts she is still not "human" in the way people describe.

Also I tie it to how she percieves love, because surprise she's obviously not normal about it at all. Unlike Puppet who believes love is inaccessible to her because she's missing whatever invisible quality makes someone fully human; Mai thinks that engaging in romance could fill that empty space and make her fully normal. Romance fascinates her because people talk about it like it fundamentally changes who you are, and if that's true, then maybe it's the one thing capable of giving her what she lacks, becoming emotionally complete.

And this is where i bring toddai to the table even though no one asked me to mwahahahaha. Anyways,despite how much of the song is about inadequacy, its emotional center is always another person. The narrator isn't trying to become "human" for her own sake; she's trying to become worthy in the eyes of someone she fixates on. That person functions almost like an idealized blueprint of humanity. The lyrics constantly shift between resentment, admiration, and longing, suggesting that the narrator measures her own existence against them.

I don't think <3 Mai is capable of being normal about Toddy <3 because even if she is also neurodivergent and if she understands Mai like no one else has ever bothered to, she still compares herself to her. She is someone who "fills" out what she is missing, and she is an example of how she should be to be a believable "real person".

The singer adopts the image of a woman she was loved, treating love and identity as things that can be inherited through imitation rather than developed naturally. The other person isn't simply a love interest, they also become a symbol of everything the narrator believes she's missing. Rather than seeking mutual intimacy, she's trying to bridge the gap between herself and an idealized version of humanity by attaching herself to someone who already seems to embody it. Yeah <3 Mai <3
