Rocket Girl volume 2 is in comic book stores TODAY, just in time for Christmas! Please spread the word!! Brandon Montclare and I will be signing at Forbidden Planet tonight at 6pm! We'll be in Wilmington, Delaware Saturday the 9th from 12-3 at The Comic Book Shop! The following Monday, December 11, we'll be speaking and signing at the Barnes & Noble at 86th and Lexington! 19 days until Rocket Girl is in stores! Rocket Girl, aka DaYoung Johansson, is a teen cop from the future. She even comes with her own police lights! Where she comes from, all the cops are teens, because their black-and-white view of the world lends to less corruption. In 80's New York, however, she clashes with the NYPD.

Readers: tell your shop to order you issues! Retailers: use Diamond Code JUN170695 to order. Final Order Cutoff is Monday, July 10! Everyone: please spread the word! Issues #8, #9, and #10 are all done. Inked, colored, lettered and ready to be in stores August 2, September 6, and October 9!

The rumors are true: Rocket Girl is coming back!! Issues 8-10 wrap up the second story arc and they're all finished. Issue 8 comes out August 2nd. FOC is approaching, so please tell your comic store you want one! It does us a world of good!

New day, new GIF! This was my process for cover 15 of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur! You'll notice I drew the wrong version (how she appeared in Invincible Iron Man) of Riri Williams, AKA the new Iron Heart. So I had to do that part over. Whoops! Here was my process for the Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur #14 cover, out this month! These days I always start with the roughest of sketches, something tiny that only focuses on movement and general placement. I try it 3 or 4 times before a scribble sticks out to me. THEN I do the actual, readable thumbnail. It's not easy to think that general, but it's essential if I want to bring life to my art. Drawing details early is a weakness and a crutch; get over it!
