Idia: “If you could be in any dorm other than Heartslabyul, which one would you pick?

Deuce: Other than Heartslabyul huh.... in that case, I think Scarabia would be good.

Idia: FR? Scarabia?? That dorm just unfurls into a banquet for any silly reason, what’s so good about it??

Deuce: I just felt that Scarabia would be the best place to find what I’m missing...

Deuce: I’m often told off by my seniors for it but... I tend to have a habit of acing before I think...

Deuce: Recently, I heard Clover-senpai say that he was going to buy cheese and...

Deuce: I immediately said I’d go instead and jumped out with my wallet.

Deuce: And then I just went ahead and picked a simple and easy-to-eat type of cheese and headed back but...

Deuce: What Clover-senpai wanted was cream cheese that he could use in his pastry making.

Idia: We have this level of airheadedness in this day and age? Just how impatient are you?

Deuce: The other day, I heard we would be having cheese tart for the Unbirthday party so...

Deuce: I think if I had just given it some thought, I would’ve figured out that cream cheese was what was required...

Deuce: I could’ve just called Clover-senpai at the shop too, or really, there’s a lot of stuff I could’ve done differently...

Deuce: I couldn’t help but feel bad about it...

Deuce: But it’s not just that time, I simply have a habit of acting before I think every time.

Deuce: Up until now, it’s all been good but, I can’t help but worry when I think about the future...

Deuce: So with the spirit of mindfulness that Scarabia embodies, I was thinking I’d maybe be less likely to make mistakes...

Idia: W-Well then... time to start the interview...

Idia: “If you could bring one person with you to a deserted island, who would you pick?”

Idia: However, you can’t pick someone from the same dorm... thems the rules.

Deuce: A deserted island huh... The kind where you explore caves and search for treasure right!

Idia: Ah... you see it a lot in anime and manga... the kind of stuff you can get behind on screen but irl? No thanks.

Deuce: What you need on an adventure... is knowledge, strength and courage!

Deuce: In that case... Jack and Epel seem reliable but....Ah!

Idia: Wh- what is it!?

Deuce: When you find yourself on a deserted island, the first thing you gotta do is secure food and water!

Deuce: In movies, they usually find shellfish, and catch fish, but I don’t really have confidence in cooking them.... that’s right!

Deuce: I think I’d pick Bucchi-senpai to go to the deserted island with me! I think I remember him saying that he was good at fishing!

Idia: I-I see... well, I do get why you’d say that.

Deuce: Also, from what I’ve heard from Jack and Epel, Bucchi-senpai tends to gather grass and stuff from around.

Idia: Huh? Grass? And not to grow? Huh? For what??

Deuce: Apparently he uses them as ingredients! That must mean he has a lot of knowledge about plants right?

Deuce: I think if he’s around, we’d probably have no trouble finding food at least!

Idia: I get what you’re saying but... it’s THAT Ruggie-shi y’know? I can’t imagine he’d willingly share his food with you.

Deuce: Uh... you’re right...

Idia: And if he’s so capable by himself, don’t you think he’d, y’know, just leave you behind from the get-go?

Deuce: There’s no way he’d.... well.... I-I’m sure there’s stuff he’d need a hand for, right!?

Deuce: And I mean, I’m good at repairing my Magical Wheel so, I’m sure I’d be of some use if we need to make something.... maybe....

Deuce: Like a boat... or not... but maybe a raft is doable...

Deuce: Assembling it one thing, but doing the heavy-lifting is something I’m confident in!

Deuce: I’m sure if he sees my efforts, he’ll help me out... or so I’d like to believe...

Idia: IDK about that chief.... oh well, that’s a good enough answer for this interview.

Deuce: The Birthday Special Interview huh... I always get nervous with formal stuff like this.

Deuce: It’s tradition after all, I’ll do my best to give appropriate responses.

Deuce: That said, the Presenter chosen by the magical birthday dice is supposed to be here by now...

???: Haa..... I mean sure, I’ll do my job since I was picked anyways but ugh... what a pain.... Excuse me....

Deuce: Shroud-senpai... OSU!! THANK YOU FOR COMING!!

Idia: Yikes.....!! The loud-ass voice reserved for the muscle-brain types!

Idia: D-D-Deuce-shi... you were already on stand by huh... super early...

Deuce: So you were picked by the Presenter! I’m honored to celebrate with you!

Idia: It’s not like I came because I wanted to... but well, anyways... here’s your present....

Deuce: Thank you very much! What a big bag.... I wonder what’s in it....

Deuce: This is...!

Idia: 20 variety of Cup Noodles, chosen by yours truly. From local specialties to the low-carb variety that’s been the rage these days, we’ve got it all.

Idia: Well I think it’s good enough for a young HS boy with a healthy appetite... not that I’d know anything about that...

Idia: It’s all stuff I usually eat anyways but, I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like out of all these choices.

Deuce: Does that mean you like cup noodles too, senpai?

Idia: “Too”... guess I picked right after all heh.

Idia: Rather than ‘liking’ it, it’s just really convenient... takes out the hassle of cooking and gets done in just a few minutes...

Deuce: Right! All you have to do is add some hot water and yet it fills you up. They all taste good too!

Deuce: On days we have club activities... especially when there’s a match around the corner to train for, my stomach never lasts till lunchtime.

Deuce: I can’t just buy whatever I want lest I want a hole in my wallet... but I also can’t simply starve myself the whole time so...

Idia: Ah.... When you’re focused on something it’s all good, but the moment you realize you’re hungry, it’s hard to deal with.

Deuce: Yeah... Once, Jack told me that boxers tend to beat their hunger by drinking loads of water but...

Deuce: When I tried it out thinking it’d be a good idea, it didn’t work like I wanted it to....

Idia: Well duh, it’s just water.

Deuce: But now thanks to you, it looks like I won’t go hungry during club hours for a good while, thank you so much!

Deuce: But still, this is quite amazing. I’ve tried many different flavors by now but...

Deuce: There’s a whole bunch I’ve never even seen before! It almost feels too good to be true... huh?

Deuce: I’m pretty sure this went out of stock when I was still in elementary school...

Idia: Ahh that. That one had a limited reproduction sale happen recently, I got a mail from the manufacturer and managed to get it in bulk, just in time.

Idia: Due to heavy access on the site on it’s release day, the site went down in one minute and it was sold out. Now it’s being sold at a premium, looks like.

Deuce: HUH!? A-Are you sure it’s ok for me to have something as precious as this...!?

Idia: I got it ez with a box worth to spare so it’s fine, it’s fine...

Deuce: How nostalgic... I used to just love eating this with eggs!

Deuce: And this sea-food base one- it’s popular to add milk to it but I’ve found that it’s just as delicious adding an egg instead-

Idia: Deuce-shi... do you add anything OTHER than eggs?

Deuce: But eggs just go with every flavor!! You can never go wrong adding eggs, I recommend it!

Idia: Hmm.... I think it takes away from the fast-and-easy selling point of cup noodles... but well, guess I’ll give it a shot if I feel like it...

Vil: Alright then, onto the next question.

Vil: “If you could choose to be in any dorm other than Heartslabyul, which one would you pick?”

Ace: Obviously it’s gotta be Scarabia!

Vil: Another prompt answer, it’s actually quite refreshing. Would you have been better off in Scarabia in the first place?

Ace: Mmm.... I don’t mean it like that, but...

Ace: Think about it, our Dorm has way too many complicated rules, and if I break even one of them, the result is pretty scary...

Ace: That’s why, I think it would be cool to be in a dorm that’s a lot more laidback, y’know? 

Ace: First, there’s Savanaclaw, which is way too focused on sports and athleticism, way too cramped for my style.

Ace: Then there’s Octanivelle and Ignihyde... I just feel like I wouldn’t vibe with the students there...

Ace: Diasomnia is a hard no. It’s kinda scary, and moreover, and imagining dealing with Sebek on a daily basis sounds like a pain in the neck with how noisy he’d be.

Ace: So that leaves me with Scarabia and Pomefiore...

Vil: Well, you certainly have the potential to shine with some help, Ace.

Ace: That’s exactly the problem!

Ace: I think you’re just as strict as our own Dorm Head, so that’d make switching dorms a moot point!

Ace: Compared to that, I think Kalim-senpai is a lot more easygoing, he’d probably just let me off with a smile even if I made some mistakes here and there.

Ace: Jamil-senpai does get on my case sometimes during club activities, but it’s nowhere near as bad as having to deal with my head nearly rolling off!

Vil: I’m astounded. How about you try to fix your attitude towards life first?

Ace: I think I’m working plenty hard already! You can blame the environment that expects too much first~

Ace: Also, from what I hear, Scarabia is always hosting feasts on the fly right? 

Ace: A classmate of mine from Scarabia is always going on and on about how amazing their food is.

Ace: They even had some large scale magic shows too... not fair, I want in on that!

Ace: I wouldn’t say I want to experience that all the time but, spending a few days at their dorm doesn’t sound like such a bad idea...

Vil: Oh, just a few days? 

Vil: Despite your passionate complaints about your dorm’s rules, not once have you tried transferring from there, isn’t that right?

Ace: Ahh...well, y’know.... the great Mirror chose Heartslabyul for me, it’s the dorm that matches my soul the closest, right?

Ace: And well, I get along just fine with my roommates and senpais, so there isn’t really a reason for me to go somewhere else...

Vil: Hmmm..... Well, let’s leave it at that.

Ace: Wha- What’s with that smirk! We’re getting off track, this conversation is done!!

Vil: Ace, have you made sure to tuck away my gift well and proper?

Ace: Yes~ ....Sigh, it’s well and fun to watch from the sidelines, but being the one done in isn’t all that great....

Vil: Quit your complaining. Just accept my “Gift of Fortune” like a good boy.

Vil: Well then, let’s start with the interview.

Ace: Okaaay~

Vil: “Out of the Nightraven College students, who would you pick to be your brother?”

Vil: However, you cannot pick someone from the same dorm as you. Let’s hear it.

Ace: An older brother huh... I’d pick Azul-senpai!

Vil: ...Azul? That’s not a name I expected would come out of your mouth with no hesitation. 

Ace: ‘That so? Well, if I could’ve picked someone from my dorm, I’d probably pick Cater-senpai, since he’s so easy to get along with...

Ace: Azul-senpai is really smart and cunning right? I think he’d be someone awesome to have on my side. 

Vil: Do you think he’d be that soft? I’m sure he’d expect profits from his own family as well.

Ace: Hmm~ .....But if I were his little brother, I’m sure he’d at least teach me for free!

Ace: I mean, if his little brother wasn’t accomplished, it’d probably be bad for his business, right?

Vil: ...Well, you do have a point there. If you’re likely to become a liability, then he might act differently than he normally would.

Ace: Right~? And with how he’s running the Mostro Lounge and all, he’s got great business acumen too!

Ace: I’m sure he’s earning a lot already~

Ace: I’m sure if I was his little brother, I’d be swimming in extravagant gifts!

Ace: Y’know like, some branded watches, or limited edition sneakers...

Ace: Ah but, I do like wearing street fashion so, we might clash on fashion tastes.

Ace: Maybe every birthday he’d say something like “You can buy whatever you want today.”

Vil: At this point you’re treating him like a walking wallet. 

Ace: I mean, Azul-senpai does seem like he’d be living the good life in the future too right?

Ace: I’d bet he’d be successful if he decided to start another business venture in the food industry after graduating.

Ace: I don’t really have any goals or dreams of my own so, if I could make it big through the power of connections alone, that’d be great thanks.

Vil: I think your fantasies have been weirdly specific so far. Is your own brother similar to Azul?

Ace: Nope, not at all. He’s a pretty easygoing and frivolous guy if you ask me. But, there’s been plenty of times I was glad to have him around too.

Ace: After all, he’s experience school and work life ahead of me and teaches me the ropes!

Vil: I see now. The way you grasp things easily is because you grew up watching your brother do it first.

Ace: Well, it’s not like I learned each and every thing from him... but well, I’m still pretty grateful for him.

Ace: After all, to carry yourself well, information is key.

Ace: I wonder who’s it gonna be... It’d be real nice if it was Kalim-senpai, he seems like the type to lavish someone with extravagant gifts!

???: Sorry to disappoint, but it’s not Kalim.

Vil: Vil Schoenheit, your Presenter for the day.

Ace: Vil-senpai!!

Ace: Hey I’m lucky after all! I’m sure you’ve picked out something great!

Ace: I’m so stoked! What’ve you got for me?

Vil: Someone sure is excited...

Vil: Happy Birthday, Ace. Here’s your present from me.

Ace: Thank you so much Vil-senpai~~ I’m gonna go ahead and open it now!

Ace: Eh!?

Ace: No way, the logo on this box... isn’t this a really high class brand!?

Ace: And inside.... it’s a pair of sunglasses!

Ace: It’s got a golden frame, and the lens are tinted brown... it’s so cool that it gives off a mature vibe!

Ace: I’m so pumped! I’m seriously so glad that Vil-senpai was the one chosen to be my Presenter!!

Vil: That is an appropriate reaction. It was quite difficult to prepare the perfect gift within the budget.

Ace: Dang, I’m way too happy right now... I mean, seriously though, how did you manage to get your hands on something like this within the budget?

Ace: No matter how you look at it, this thing is brand new... and it’s shape is fashioned after the latest trends too...

Vil: Well, you certainly have a good eye. In fact, I had a magazine shoot to attend the day after I was selected to be your Presenter.

Vil: They had brought these sunglasses for the shoot to promote their brand for the next season.

Vil: The moment I laid my eyes on it, I knew it would suit you perfectly. I managed to get it at the price of a sample, so it was still within the budget.

Vil: Not only will it look good with your outfit today, you can coordinate it with your regular outfits as well.

Ace: Coordinate.... ahhh, but you know~

Ace: The hurdle may be just a bit too high for me... maybe if I had some help from the great and fashionable Vil-senpai.... Just kidding...

Vil: Well, it is your birthday today... Fine, I shall teach you the basics myself.

Ace: As expected of Vil-senpai! Lemme just brag about this on Magicame~

Vil: In that case, lend me your phone. If you’re going to talk about it on Magicame, then you need a good photo to go with it.
