I have so much discourse to write about the last Avatar movie lmao. James Cameron clearly doesn’t have the tools the handle the universe he created. It’s hilarious. We could have had a great saga if he actually had competent editors 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 I rewatched the first movie, and the third installation kind of ruined a lot of things in retrospect. Spider, and Kiri should not exist. Eywa no longer makes sense, the Na’vi afterlife being essentially pop western christian paradise is catastrophic. Too much importance given to part human or full human characters. It’s a whole mess. He just doesn’t have the range to handle the colonization subject. I am still here for the love story between Jake and Neytiri cause the two leads have insane chemistry, and pandora is gorgeous. I also don’t understand why he has not realized that discovering the culture of different Na’vi groups was the strong point of the two first movies. The world building was so shallow. I don’t care about the little Tarzan custody battle. He should not be here. I want to know about the air marchants, their beliefs, their way of living. Same for Varang tribe. This clan was such a disappointment. I actually like Jake, but why are the only Na’vi being proactive members of his family. It’s insulting. The Turuk makto second coming did not feel earned at all and was honestly cringe at times. I’m just rambling but god this is so annoying because this story had so much potential.
