His response to her was so quick - proving every thought she had about him being jealous. Sure it was a bit much, but Hallie wouldn’t have had it any other way. Especially since she was the jealous type too. “Come on! It would be fun.” She continued to tease - hoping it wouldn’t piss him off. “Kill you!? Sweetheart, I’m right there beside you. Do you know how hard it is to not crawl over there and give you at least road head!? But if I do that, then it’ll lead to places we can’t go.” 

Adrian's fingers gripped the steering wheel and her hand a little tighter. "Not my definition of fun, babe." His thumb brushed over her hand, showing her he wasn't as angry as his words may have sounded. "Kill me." He agreed, turning his head to look at her. "You keep talking like that and saying those things, I'm going to die of deprivation. Or blue balls. Whatever the hell it's called, I have it." He had done his best to not be selfish while she was still healing, but it was becoming more difficult to go without.

"Oh yeah? So I could…." She paused, looking for a challenging question for Adrian. "Could I bring another man into bed with us!?" There’s no way he would say yes to that - he was far too protective over her. Jealous, sometimes, and it was cute. "Skinny dipping?" Hallie’s brows rose and a smirk danced across her lips as she looked at him. "Sex on the beach? And I’m not talking about the drink."

"No not that." The answer came quick, along with a grin. "You knew that though." He reached for her hand again, lacing their fingers together. He couldn't help the jealousy that gripped him when it came to her and he was thankful she didn't hold that against him. "Skinny dipping sounds fun." His smirk disappeared off his face as she spoke again. "You're gonna kill me, woman. If you don't stop teasing that." 

"We’re married now, I can do what I want, you fucker." A laugh fell from her lips as she crinkled her nose at him and mocked his own words. Luckily, the two never failed at teasing one another - which is what she liked. "And do what?" Hallie didn’t have a game plan, but Nina was being taken care of for the night, and Hallie and Adrian needed time alone.. Even if it was just a care ride, they needed to enjoy time together. 

"Touché." Adrian grinned at her as she threw his statement back to him, nodding his head. "The difference is, I would let you do whatever the hell you wanted." He bit back, grinning wildly. His head turned to face the road, watching as mile marker after mile marker passed. "We could go swimming. I don't know. There are some of those good bed and breakfasts by the coast."

At his words, the blonde turned back to him, offering up a small, genuine smile. She was all aware that he would do, but not yet. They would save that fun for night time. For now, they were just getting lost - and letting loose. “Right, you haven’t had sex in over a month. Ha!” 

As the road passed in front of him, his eyes trailed back to her now and then with the smile plastered on his mouth. "Exactly. So you can't joke about that, or else I'll believe you and get my hopes up. I think it's been a hell of a lot longer than a month." He added in a fake whiny tone. "We could head toward the ocean."

A laugh fell from Hallie’s lips before she rolled her eyes at Adrian, and looked away. “Whoa, buddy. Just because we are married now, doesn’t mean you can do whatever. That’s not how this works! I’m not your little play toy!” She lectured. “Better than what you gave me. Hmmm….” Hallie paused, biting down on her lip. “Pull over and have sex on the hood of the car?!”

Adrian smiled widely at her as she laughed, nodding slightly. "I know, I know. Don't worry." He let out a short laugh and rested his head back against the seat rest. "Don't tempt me. I will pull over. I will do it." The smirk was placed firmly on his lips as he kept driving.

"Let go!" She teased, before wiggling the her fingers from his kiss. "You don’t get to give me kisses if you’re going to be calling me frustrating. I mean, you married this frustrating person, so deal with it, butt face!" Again, she went at him with an insult that wasn’t really and insult. "We are… on whatever street we are on, duh!"

Adrian shook his head, giving her hand another squeeze before finally letting her hand go. "I can so. As you have so expertly pointed out, I married you so I can do whatever I want." He stuck his tongue out at her before turning his head back to the road. "Whatever street. What good and precise information. What do you want to do?"

Lily shook her head, crossing her arms immediately when he mentioned the slightest hint of a complication in business matters. “No, it’s a great time because we have a lot to prove and there’s nothing we can’t prove,” she nodded, lending a finger to the baby so she’d wrap her little hand around it. “No matter how hard it gets, we have to keep holding on. She’s our reason.”

"Great time? Everyone hates us. We're lucky that there isn't a riot outside with torches and pitchforks, asking for our heads. Dad really screwed us over, yet again." Adrian grumbled and looked over at his sister. "I'm not planning on giving up anything anytime soon, but it may not be a bad idea to lay low." 

"She's going to be the most protected little girl in the entire city. With you, me, and the boys looking out for her." Adrian smirked and ruffled his own hair gently. He nearly choked on his drink at the hand slapping on the bartop. "Trust me, Hallie knows how beautiful I think she is. Don't worry about that." He stared at his friend, wondering just how drunk he was planning to get. "It will be you again, Leo. You just need to find Mrs. Right again, not as flighty this time." He sat down his glass and watched the other man move. "Woah woah, Lee. What are you doing?" His eyes widened, staring around in horror as he yelled. Closing his eyes for a second, he lifted his glass in a half hearted toast. Looking back at his friend, he rolled his eyes with a reluctant smile.

"Um, no. You know how greedy I am. I want to be your one and only." Hallie gently slapped his leg. "Well that’s your own damn fault! I, however, have all of Washington memorized. So no, we aren’t lost. But I like seeing you get all frustrated, so I’m gonna keep letting you get lost." 

"You are the number one baby, baby." He grinned again, reaching out for her hand; both to be able to touch her and to stop her from hitting him again. His brow quirked up and he stared at her for a moment. "You've got all the roads memorized? Where are we now?" He lifted her hand up to his mouth, biting the back of it gently. "You're very very frustrating."

Both of Hallie’s brows rose into the air, and she eyed the man beside her, as he called the car his baby. “I am your baby.” She pointed at him, upon shaking her head. “We aren’t lost. We grew up in Washington, Ade, you can’t get lost in a state you’ve lived in your whole life. That’s just stupid.” 

"I can have three babies. My auto baby. My baby baby. And you, baby" The smirk grew and he looked back at the road, following it as she hadn't told him any different yet. "I'm sorry I don't have the entire system of roads memorized for all of Washington. I've only lived in Seattle! We're lost." 

Letting go, Lily made her way over to the crib in the living room, putting her bag down onto the coffee table before she peered over to look at her lovely little niece. A hand was brought up to her lips before she reached down to stroke the baby’s cheek gently. “She is getting so much bigger, the sweet little peanut.” she cooed, whispering softly before looking back to her brother. “She looks like a Roth. A cross between you and mom.”

Adrian followed her, his hand scratching the back of his neck while watching her interact with his daughter. "She's amazing." He smiled, looking down at the baby. "It's not a great time to be a Roth." He mumbled with a shrug, reaching down to lift the small infant up to his chest gently.

"Well then clearly you shouldn’t be driving! Neither of us should be driving.. We are accident prone when it comes to cars.. and we can’t have you get taken from me again!" She teased, looking over at him with a smirk on her face. "I told you, I don’t know! I was just telling you to turn down different places." 

"Hush, I am a fantastic driver. Usually I know where I'm going though, so that's on you. Plus there's no way in hell I would damage my baby." He cooed, patting the dashboard lovingly before giving her his crooked grin. "So we're lost. Basically. Is that what you're telling me?" 

Canting her head, slightly, she shrugged. “We’ll make up for it, okay? I’ll plan a dinner for us as our closest friends. It’ll be nice now that the baby’s here.” She leaned in to hug him. “I did come to see my niece. Where is she? I actually brought her a few things.”

Hugging her back, Adrian closed his eyes, thankful to have her here and safe. "Dinner sounds nice. Please don't make it all fancy though, I'd really prefer not to have to wear a suit for a long time." He grimaced at the memory of the last time his suit was worn. "She's in her crib down here. She's still really small, but she's getting bigger." He gestured towards the living room, giving her a smile.

"Yes. And I’m kind of disappointed you never told me, not even after it happened. I would’ve totally been excited for you both, but now because of how sudden and out of the woodwork this all is, I’m going to have to postpone your wedding gift. It’s probably better that way. Gifts on the wedding day jinx everything… look what happened to Lyvia and Nik."

"It hasn't been that long. We just wanted to go out and do it, sorry Lil. With everything that happened on my birthday, it needed to happen. So are you just here to insult my decorating skills or do you want to see your niece?"

"Um, it’s your fault if we end up in a ditch. You’re the one driving.. I’m not gonna tell you to go into a ditch! No, I didn’t bring passports, which you need, remember? - Would you be mad if I said I have no idea where we are going?" 

"If you tell me rapidly to turn a direction, I may end up in a ditch from surprise. So cut the surprise and just tell me! Well you could've brought the passports and hidden them somewhere." He mumbled, his brows waggling at her.
