I thought this fandom would take this concept and over-exploit it. It's perfect for adding more angst between these two.

I was inspired by several fanfics in which Dark Cacao would be willing to wait for Dark Choco to return to the Citadel. But what if many years go on and Choco comes back turned into an old man but his father still looks the same as always?

It would come as a great shock to Cacao and he would realize his consequence as an immortal being

I ask again.

Do you guys remember our old man Dark Choco? Because I do

I've been thinking about this again in this week in a looooooong time. Well the new idea I'm going to bring up has already been suggested to me by some users before, but this time I've been thinking about it a lot.

It's about what would happen if Dark Choco had relatives. Now that I have a clearer perspective, I see this as a healthy and positive direction for the character. Since childhood Dark Choco has suffered from an emotional void, abusive neglect and the absence of a protective and loving figure, a role that his father was supposed to fulfill.

The way I picture this idea is Dark Choco leaving his entire past behind as a prince and a member of the darkness, to then start a new life in a different environment and surrounded by new people. From there, he chooses to start a family, and that family grows and grows. As the years pass Dark Choco became happier and older, enjoying his peaceful life: His home and the unconditional love of his children, grandchildren, sons-in-law, and daughters-in-law...

But this time, I've decided that Dark Choco won't go back to his homeland to visit his father. Because he's too old to travel such long distances and also Dark Choco is too busy moving forward in his present life to get stuck in the past. The one who really needs to take a step forward this time is Dark Cacao.

It doesn't matter if we're talking about Dark Cacao before episode 13 of Crispia or Awakening!Dark Cacao. His situation is still pretty lonely and stagnant.

With Dark Cacao, things can go many ways. Maybe out of pride he wouldn't lift a finger and would wait for Dark Choco to make the first move, or maybe on his own free will he'd step out of his comfort zone and decide to travel by land and sea just to see him. In both scenarios, time would play a role. As the years go by, his surroundings will change but Dark Cacao will retain the image of Dark Choco as a young boy due to the absence of him and the fact that his last moments with him were when his son was still young.

Anyway, Cacao needs to get off his ass this time and actually do something for his son for once instead of just waiting like a dog waiting for its owner.
