If you know me or Lauren then you probably know Piper. She’s a blonde ball of energy, our sidekick, travel partner and best friend. Whether it was crossing into Mexico on my kayak, hiking to hot springs in 15 degree weather, rompin’ around in the greenbelt, sitting in a truck for days on end, or just waiting for someone to drop food at Yellow Jacket, she was always happy. While she was always up for adventure, unexpectedly our girl may have lost the ability to do that forever.
In the course of one day she lost the use of her hind legs. Rushing her to an emergency vet they quickly told us that she had slipped a disk in her spinal cord which caused her to lose the ability to walk.
Unfortunately the only option to save her is spinal surgery; which turns out….is expensive. Any donation you could make would be much appreciated and will go towards the cost of her surgery which will be taking place as soon as possible.
