This pic was taken while I was walking through the biggest avenue of one of the biggest cities in the world, Paulista Avenue, São Paulo, Brazil. In big cities, such as São Paulo, many things happen everyday, all the time, at different places. You cannot predict what is to come next, ever. There is an aura envolving this place fulfilled with extremely distinct people, with divergent personalities, viewpoints and behaviors, that have separate obligations and duties, where the effect of a single unexpected action or event might change everything around everyone. People know all about everything but they also know nothing at all. That is what X means to me: the “mistery’’ surrounding your day-to-day routine where you can be whoever you wanna be, the versatility of a person living in a place that never rests, a place that is always facing changes. Being X means that you are not stuck on a single definition of yourself or of the world around you. You are your own variable. You. Are. X.
