Now, with Kyoka, we saw that abilities can be transferred to other people, right? I did the same thing to Mori, um, 4 years ago, but as I said, I didn't dwell on it much because deviating from the canon bothers me. Let's say Elise was inherited from his mother. Now imagine Mori's ability is not Elise, but something even more lethal. Imagine that, just as Dazai couldn't stop Lovecraft, Mori's ability came about in a similar way. A terrible ability that eats Mori away from the inside, something that becomes more deadly and powerful as Mori ages. And guess who can stop him? Of course, Fukuzawa xd. You can think of it as a more lethal version of Chuuya for Mori, but if a few minutes have passed since the ability activated, he can stop himself – he has that much control. But if more time has passed, neither he nor Dazai can stop him. Fukuzawa can control his subordinates' abilities; that's how it's been explained, I accept that, but let's twist that a bit. Fukuzawa can control his subordinates thanks to their respect and devotion to him. So, let's say he can stop them because of a source of trust, love, or authority. So- xd I wasn't going to write this, seriously, it's been 4 years, it could still remain a closed box, I don't feel like writing too much xd- anyway.  During their initial partnership, Mori constantly questioned Fukuzawa about his ability, and Fukuzawa retorted that it was insignificant. Mori didn't get satisfactory answers. When Fukuzawa asked him about his ability, Mori claimed he was cursed with a terrible ability -therefore, Fukuzawa initially did not believe that Elise was his ability- Later, an enemy emerged, and Mori, facing over 100 ability user individuals alone, was forced to use this ability, thinking, "If I'm going to die, I might as well die honorably." Fukuzawa finally arrived at the scene, the area completely covered in blood, and Mori was the only one standing. Fukuzawa knew Mori had already activated his ability, attacking everything around him like a madman, but his strength was also depleting. Fukuzawa knew he couldn't control such an ability from afar, and he also knew Mori's respect for him wouldn't be enough, because the stronger the persons ability, the stronger and deeper their trust in him should be. Still, he had to try; half the building was already destroyed.  Moreover, to make his presence felt, he needed at least a touch; now, the only thing he could hope for was Mori's deep trust in him. Fukuzawa quickly ran to his side, careful not to get hit by him because a single blow could kill him. At the end of the day, he grabbed the sleeve of Mori's torn clothes and shouted, "MORI SENSEI!" He had to make his presence felt, even if he wasn't there. After a few shouts, things finally seemed to be calming down, Fukuzawa could feel it inside, he felt it even more as Mori regained consciousness, he could feel that boundless trust and sense of relief, well, the relief might be coming from himself. When Mori's mind returned, he felt his legs give way and immediately clung to Fukuzawa, coughed up a small amount of blood, and felt awful. "How did you do that?" Mori asked, Fukuzawa said nothing and just held him because Fukuzawa didn't know either. Deep trust? Overwhelming respect?  Or perhaps it was another, even deeper feeling, which Fukuzawa didn't consider the possibility of, so for now he decided to proceed purely out of respect and trust. Mori couldn't stand on his own; he was carried to the clinic that day in Fukuzawa's arms.

Now! If you've read this far, let's see where the ball event comes from, and where Mori's self-confidence comes from. It was Mori who suggested fighting Fukuchi, telling Taneda that he needed Fukuzawa. Taneda knew that Fukuzawa's ability is only worked on his subordinates, so when Mori said this, the only thing he could think of was either one of Mori's subordinates being given to Fukuzawa, or Mori himself stepping down from his position and becoming Fukuzawa's subordinate. The second option seemed the most illogical. Yet, this wasn't the same look Mori had in his eyes, the one that constantly mocked him during their meetings; it was more of a look of someone preparing to die, and extremely serious. In the end, Taneda accepted Mori's words, doing everything he said. What Mori specifically wanted was for Taneda to show everything to the public. He also stated that Taneda needed to make cuts in certain parts, saying this to protect himself and Fukuzawa. So, if you think of it as something that should remain between Fukuzawa and himself, you could say it was a message: "Don't let the public see it, only you will see it." 

Anyway, Mori brought Fukuzawa back to life, then explained his plan to him—not the Taneda part, but the plan to defeat Fukuchi. The only thing that didn't sit right with Fukuzawa was Mori's ability. "If you use your ability, I can't stop you," he said from where he was sitting. Mori shot him a piercing glare. "What do you mean you can't stop me, Fukuzawa Dono?" He could sense the disappointment behind Mori's harsh words. Fukuzawa looked at him for a long time, not knowing if Mori still trusted him as before, and from his own experience, it wasn't something that could be achieved solely through trust. In their ongoing partnership, he had already learned about Mori's deep love, so the idea that he could stop him didn't seem absurd; such deep love could stop anything. But since they had parted ways after Yosano, they hadn't even spoken properly, Mori's hostility was obvious enough. "That means i can't stop you," he sighed deeply and looked into those eyes he used to love so madly—which was a mistake, he still loved him.  "We must handle this without your ability," Fukuzawa finished. Then Mori, without revealing his anger and stress, only conveyed it through the glint in his eyes, asked, "Was our cooperation the condition for stopping my ability?" Fukuzawa remained silent, "Fukuzawa Dono, if your ability is useless in a situation like this, why are you still alive?" Fukuzawa understood that Mori's emotions had already waned; Mori was utterly disappointed. Fukuzawa then stood up and slowly approached him, extending his hand for him to hold. "Can you stop it after activating a certain amount of your ability?" Mori looked at Fukuzawa's hand and hesitated. "Not anymore, no." Fukuzawa could guess the answer based on Mori's words, but he had to ask. "Mori sensei," he began. "Based on this answer, I will tell you whether I can stop you or not, so please be honest." Mori looked directly into his eyes. It was then that Tanada thought he needed to intervene and cut the broadcast. -a little privacy xd- "Do you still love me?" Fukuzawa said it in an overly serious and weary tone, which softened the weight of the words, but it didn't stop Mori's eyes from widening and his brows from furrowing. "What does that have to do with your ability, Fukuzawa Dono?" His voice was too harsh. "Your ability is too powerful, you're the one who said it gets stronger over time, even your complete trust in me might not be enough to stop you, and even with your unconditional love, I could barely stop you, and now you're asking me to stop you." Fukuzawa said it all in one breath, then paused, waiting for Mori to understand. "Do you still think I can stop you?" Mori looked at him silently, his eyes narrowed, as if struggling with himself. He turned his body away from Fukuzawa and began walking towards where fukuchi went. As he took slow steps, Fukuzawa could see he's shining with the light of his ability, and it was Fukuzawa's turn to open his eyes. "Are you crazy? You're going to destroy all of Yokohama!"  he shouted, still unable to believe it. "And you're going to stop me." Mori replied. Then he quickened his pace and headed towards Fukuchi, with Fukuzawa following him.
