waiting for what once was

i told y’all in the plots channel how this is something i wanted to approach & give a try and everything came together so, so, so well (at least in my head HAHA)!!! i decided to tell the story of the new muggle Amelia & the Bones through some initial introductions to every member of this progressively political & famous family full of activists and smarts and lots of trouble!! xoxo oh the woes of balancing being a good person & being rich !

without a further ado... 

FATHER / Bo Bones / 53 years old

Chair of the Ecology party (known as the Green Party later on). Passionate environmentalist and has written many passages in newspapers and magazines about ecology prior to becoming chairman. Makes notes in empty columns of papers and restaurant menus whenever a thought comes to him. Very brainy, but also very scatterbrained. Bo Bones is DEFINITELY the definition of a gangly cunt and we love him for it. Often thinks about the WHAT IF’S of Scotland becoming Independent, or what happens IF Scotland abandons the Green Party to form their own, based on more tailored needs? He wants Scotland represented fairly. Of course, with the statute falling, he can’t only worry about Scotland’s citizens. He will be taking on an unnecessarily large, extremely stressful workload to find certain unity between every land, religion, and belief. It really is no surprise his children often bite off more than they can chew, because they’d witnessed it from the most practiced all their lives.

MOTHER / Sundy Castello / 56 years old

Activist and lecturer of Philosophy at Cambridge University. Italian immigrant from Sicily. Hailing from an infamous family who has lived off the fortune of their relative’s poetry that’d been published during the Romantic era over a century ago. The Castello family does not participate in the same idealist politics their dead relative and their poems spoke of, but Sundy always had. She moved away from home, travelled throughout all of Europe while teaching herself about philosophy while learning and respecting the philosophies of other regions. She remains with the Castello name, even after marriage, sticking to the Sicilian tradition of keeping your father’s name throughout life.

ELDEST BROTHER / Edgar Laclan Bones / 26 years old

While he isn’t NECESSARILY a whole ass Black sheep, because this family unit is rather tight knit and have really learned the means of good communication. However, the need or desire for the limelight has never ever once been there for him! His family’s money seems to get him more unwarranted attention than anything ever since he’s grown out of the phase of blowing it all just to blow it. Amelia and Ivan could probably learn a thing or two from him when it comes to working diligently, keeping your head down, and investing/saving. Whereas Edgar could probably learn a thing or two about appreciating life from his younger siblings. It isn’t so much about loosening up or changing his core, but it’d be great if he could open his eyes and not take the small things for granted. There is so much out there, Edgar! Please, for the love of god, go for a walk!

IRISH TWIN / Ivan Benachie Bones / 23 years old

Plays for Aberdeen F.C. Is a “decently” famous footballer who probably gets dragged more than appreciated in the tabloids. This MIGHT be because he is a rather mischievous one, known to sneak other players from their hotels in the middle of the night to party in abandoned churches. You know, just Scottish things! His moves on the pitch aren’t as impressive as his need to do something against the rules. Definitely immature. Definitely needs to learn a thing or two about the realities of life before the witch we love as Susan enters the world.

Amelia Susan Bones / 22 years old

She taught herself that to be heard, you did have to find ways to make yourself stand out. At times interchangeable with not all publicity is bad publicity. This has been a quote on repeat in Amelia’s head since childhood, which is not surprising, considering how infantile it feels to believe at times. It was not only her family’s money that could lead to the Bones family improving their country, just as well, they needed to be heard loudly and clearly. Following this philosophy as a teenager, however, might’ve not been the brightest approach. What tabloid took a seventeen year old seriously about progressive issues when she’d been caught underaged drinking in underground clubs? Among lots of other things no one her age should’ve be experiencing yet... 

Friends often came and went, because Amelia’s trust vanished after a handful of acquaintances only cared about her thick wallet and what bottle it could buy them that evening. She’s become better at dealing with strangers than making friends and in the process of it all, has taken on the same socialite’s life her mother had fled Italy from many, many years ago. Her drive has disappeared over the course of the last couple of years, and now life is much easier when things are handed to you. Magazine shoots, cameos on television sets, interviews about style now more prevalent than the idealist beliefs she once held so near and dear to her heart. Here is to hoping her moralistic side kicks back into high gear, now living to witness the falling of the statute she never once knew existed. Please, begin climbing the correct ladders, Amelia!

June 1980 // Amelia "witnesses" her boyfriend murdering an old friend of hers, Nick Welling. Having only heard the incident, she does not know her boyfriend, now ex, Rory Sayre is a wizard and killed the man with magic.

July 1980 // Rory gets put away in jail, a muggle one as far as she knows. Amelia begins attending therapy, but it is not doing too much for her at the moment.
