The people who write kevbert fics and still tag it with robron are so annoying. Like I don't mind people having their own ships and idols I'm not a Nazi.

But that tag is for that specific couple, and even if you put a little (background) column on there it would still appear on that tag.

If you're writing robron as a background and kevbert as the main then STOP tagging them as Aaron Dingle/Robert Sugden and START tagging them as Aaron Dingle& Robert Sugden.

You can also learn how to filter stuff. I'm not reading any fics at at all, but if a relationship is background is normal they get tagged.

Now when you look at look at the main Robert/A tag you can filter kevbert so a03 won't show any of the fics of them

I do do that its just that it's annoying how everytime I have to open a new ao3 tab I have to put exclusions again instead of just reading in peace. and it is not necessary to have to tag background couples especially when they're not what the fic is about. they're literally inconveniencing an entire fandom.

they know another fandom is sensitive about their ship but they still tag it even tho they dont need to. annoying.

I've never seen anyone talk about the difference between how Aaron's best mates deal with his relationship with Robert.

Adam was supportive maybe once or twice, and barely, maybe it's because of the Dingle influence against Robert and the fact that he's seen how Robert can hurt Aaron firsthand, but he's also seen how happy he was with Robert.

Mack on the other hand, had been a full-on superfan, yeah he was indifferent to Robert at first, but he was never hostile. I think a portion of it is because he hates John's guts, but he doesn't even know Robert T.T and he's never seen how happy Aaron is with him, at least not yet. Mack's been so supportive though, urging Aaron to call Rob, even talking to Kev.

Okay this is my wild guess after seeing the clip,

Kev and Robert are friends from prison. Kev is sick and/or dying…the thing he’s gotten his “head around.”

You get close in prison, kind of all you have is each other. Watch their back. Maybe even cell mates if that’s a thing in the UK.

So how does Robert choose between his dying friend who got him through prison needing him and the love of his life dealing with psycho husband trauma needing him?

Cue jealous Aaron. Cue exasperated Robert. Cue possibly secretly in love Kev.

I like the idea that they're friends and that Robert's keeping Kev away from his life in Emmerdale because of what he can reveal to the people there about his life in prison.
