Diana, Princess of Themyscira

“Good. Good.” Bruce smirked at her. “You did? Well, that sound keep you funded for the next what,” he thought for a moment. “What ten years? That’s wonderful.” He brought her hand up to his lips pressing a kiss to it. “Anything for you, my love.”

The Amazon chuckled. “Well, funding is ways when you have connections with Bruce Wayne.” she said. She regarded him fondly then, her cheeks turning warm as Bruce kissed her hand. 

Being around Diana made it easy for him to finally be himself. No hiding behind the playboy or the Bat. He could finally just be Bruce with her. “Did you have a good day,” he asked. He knew it was quite silly to ask the warrior princess from an island of, well, more warriors but he really wanted to know. 

“Did Barry break anything again?” Bruce teased, he did love picking on the young hero. “My meeting went rather well.” 

The Amazon smiled. She looked at their hands, loving the weight of his hand over hers. It was beautiful, she thought, how open he’d become with her. She chuckled at his joke and let herself swell in the comfortable humdrum of their current circumstance. 

Diana loved moments like this. Quiet. Out of the costume. Just the two of them. And Bruce, she loved how his edges had softened around her, how he let himself feel despite the weight of the world on their shoulders.

And when she felt the warmth of his hand over hers, she couldn’t help her smnile, and the affectionate look she cast in his direction. 

Then he spok3e and Diana's smile only widened. 

“I know and I don’t regret becoming Robin, it’s just…” Tim sighed. “It’s just that sometimes it’s so hard. Does anything we do really matter? How much of our lives do we miss?”

He’s reconsidering at the tone in her voice but steels himself. “Well…” he glances at his watch. “We have time when we get back for that love…” he can’t stop himself from leaning down to steal another kiss though, he’s missed her affections.  “I know it’s only-” he steals another one. “been a month but I’ve missed you”

“I do always try my best to impress” he smiles a bit shyly. He’s grateful Bruce is out today he’d been teasing him about Diana coming back for days. 

“So, are we ready for dinner? The review’s for this new restaurant are unbelievable, seems like every celebrity that lives within twenty miles of the place has to come to try it” 

“Well, consider me impressed.”

Alfred chuckles. “It’s very difficult to have eyes for anything but the goddess infront of me sweetheart”

Tie be damned, it might be coming off anyway. “A tie is nothing compared to a man’s manners infront of his lady, as long as they are impeccable I could be half naked for all I care”
