“With all due respect, I think that’s bullshit” she said following behind trying to stay as calm as possible “I’m not saying dwell on things but I think something needs to be done. This is the second time the school has been hit. Its only a matter of time before it be comes physical” She shook her head “I’ll be alright, I have tough skin I need to…its comes with my job. I’m more concerned for my friends Ms. Amaya. The pet fair is Great but everyone is still really scared”

“I know! I know that all of this is bull and I wish there was something I could do. I was in the doll house! I was there. And now this! You think i don’t feel like a failure, I can’t even help the students here! I am trying but with no leads and no one helping and I am at my wits end!” She sighed running her hands through her hair. “This isn’t what I want, and I know everyone is scared. So lets figure out how to fix it. How to take their fear and use it to heal.”

We can always count on you, AK, to bring the calm when it is so needed. Thank you for this, for stepping up when not everyone is in a position to do so. What this campus needs most now is to be restored to its normal balance, I think. Something like this isn’t easy to overlook, but we will survive as we always have. 

I’m so looking forward to the Adoption Event myself. I haven’t had a chance to go down yet, perhaps I’ll see you there?

I am sorry about what happened to you babe, you didn’t deserve that. If you need me I got you Del. I am trying, as President how I handle things means others will handle them too. So we gotta step up. I agree, it might take work, but I know we can try to get there. Its not babe, and we shouldn’t have to just get over this, but we will.

Yeah but sometimes the damage cannot be undone and the things we keep hidden is what makes and breaks us. 

Adopt a pet is a great thing, but I can’t do it.

I know, and that is why they did this, they want to break us, want to make sure that we fall and we can’t. What’s done in the dark may come to light, but its how we handle it and accept our truths that will get us out of here.

Amaya laughed. "Oh, my bad...I don't know why I took it literally." She said in the chair. "So tell me B, how are you, really?"

"I was planning on it." Amaya said turning away from the girl. "I don't think that dwelling on it is going to make all the difference. Do you?" She turned back to the girl and frowned. "If you need to talk then lets talk."

Amaya prided herself on being in control, she tried her best to make the most out of situations but this, this was too much. She couldn't control her emotions, she couldn't handle the stress. Everything was falling apart and while she tried her best to keep it together she couldn't. The messages kept playing over and over and fear crippled her into a panic, one she hadn't had since she was a teen. She hadn't even seen Mark walk into the room, she didn't even register him holding her and telling her it was okay she just held onto him, breaking.

Maya….I don’t think I have a great answer for that right now, but I’m trying to be. Are you okay, Miss?

I am so sorry you are feeling like this. What can I do? How can I make you feel better? I am okay just trying to make sure that everything is okay with everyone. 

Thank you for being here for everyone, Miss. What you’re doing is important, and I think it’s good for everyone to know that our leaders have our backs and are here for us. Are you alright, Miss? I know this is a tough time for everyone. If you need to talk I’m around too.

Fuck. Although logic stated clearly that an occurrence such as this was a rarity, not something that could have been planned or expected, Isabel couldn’t help but to feel vindicated in her usual stance on Haunted Houses- not to go to them. Whatever had happened, she wasn’t pleased in the slightest. While others began to panic around her, she rolled her eyes and heaved an exasperated sigh. She’d nearly begun mouthing off herself, becoming overstimulated at the flurry of people around her, and already more irritated than fearful at the situation in general, when Amaya stepped through the crowd. “You’re joking, right?” Isabel spat with a roll of her eyes. “You’re talking like this was some sort of mistake. You saw that video, just like the rest of us.” Though something within her said it wasn’t the greatest of ideas to poke Amaya at the moment, and especially not with so many others around, and in an already bad situation, but Isabel simply couldn’t help herself. “This was clearly done on purpose. Do I think there’s a point in panicking? No. We’re clearly safe. It’s the Scholarship students I’d be worried about, if I were you.”

Of course Isabel would be one of the Elites stuck in the room with her. She didn’t need this right now. Turning to the blonde she placed her hand on her hips.  “Let me tell you something right now, because I am not sitting here playing this game with you, panicking is not going to get us anywhere! We al just saw that and I am concerned about everyone! So how about you do us all a favor and go cry in the corner while the adults try to get to the other people.” She said grabbing her flashlight and shining it around. There had to be a way out, they built this place, she knew it inside and out.

“I’m good, I’m fine, what the hell is going on?” Derek urged quietly, his arms wrapping around her

It felt too familiar, too much like old times, he knew he couldn’t let himself sink into it even though he so wanted to…

He sighed quietly, breathing in the soft scent of her shampoo, still holding onto her but leaning back just a little to get a good look at her face, Amaya didn’t get… panicked… or atleast she never showed it, so whatever was going on had to be more than some stupid technicality like an animatronic gone wrong

“Are you ok?”

“Derek I-” She didn’t know what to say, she was freaked out, scared and Kingston’s didn’t get scared but she was. When Derek held her closer, her mind wandered to the last time he held her like this, his arms always felt like home.

“We were locked in there, it was dark and I just.” She shook it off, trying her best to calm down. “I tried to get back in there but its locked, they have them and I-I failed.” She tried her best not show fear so when she noticed people looking their way she pulled Derek to a different side of the Doll House. 

Derek wasn’t the type to stop and ask questions when a crisis emerged, he was the type to rush right in and do whatever he could to help, maybe that was why he was more drawn to the idea of being an EMT than a doctor…

So when the crisis took place, he had one thing on his mind- finding the few people he had any kind of connection with and making sure they were alright

He pushed past the crowds calmly and quietly, going virtually unnoticed amongst the chaos as he stalked towards the dollhouse, fingers twitching, prepared to take on whatever- or whoever- was causing this crisis, when a familiar flourish of dark hair caught his eye

Amaya was freaking out, the moment they were let out of the room, she ushered everyone to safety, but thats when she realized they were missing half the people they had been stuck with, they were missing the scholarship people. “No! Where are they?!” She ran back to the door and tried to open it. This wasn’t happening. “Let them out!!!!” She screamed banging on the door. She tried to push against it when she heard someone call her name.

“Okay, Okay I know that we are all scared but please stay calm. I have a flashlight on my keychain and on my bookbag, save your cell phone batteries if you can.” Amaya said as she made her way through the terrified crowd. “I am sure they will turn the lights and everything back on shortly. There is no need to freak out.” She herself was scared, but her parents would have a fit if she was seen doing anything other than remaining in control.
