About Amanda

In a small town in rural Maine, a young girl once dwelled, dreaming of nothing more than her own backyard. Called Amanda, she was a clumsy youth with insatiable curiosity, often spending her days turning rocks in search of reptiles or drawing mermaids and waterfalls on the backs of utility bill envelopes. With bandaged knees and grimy fingernails, Amanda was known to explore dense forests, rescue mice from hungry cats, and catch insects in pickle jars for further examination. She wanted to know everything about the nature of her world.

As Amanda grew older, life brought opportunities for travel. She found her way out of the isolated wilderness and has visited lands far and wide. With camera in hand, Amanda has found herself getting sunburned on a beach in Koh Samui, learning to rappel in slot canyons in Zion National Park, and enjoying fresh olive oil and aged wine at a vineyard on the Tuscan countryside, to name a few places. The entirety of the planet has become Amanda’s new backyard, where she has and will always be on the lookout for new rocks to turn and unique places to explore.
