I made this blog to share some of the things I've made and fooled around with and my thoughts around them. Also to encourage things I want to see more of.

The voice commands. The electronic lock securing your shackles to the leg of the desk whirs as it unlocks itself. Your fingers fumble with the lock, struggling to remove it from the chain.

*Move It* the voice commands again, even as the electrodes adhered to your body deliver a small shock as a reminder.

You rush to the opposite side of the room towards the closed door, taking quick but awkwardly short steps, limited by the length of chain between your shackles.

Standing on your tiptoes, you press a button that’s mounted above the door’s frame. The door doesn’t unlock this time. It rarely does. Instead a buzzer sounds - the instruction to return to your desk.

Hurrying back as quickly as the short chain allows, you only reach your chair before the allotted time expires. You grimace as you feel the sting of the first shock, and work frantically to reattach the lock to secure your shackles to the desk once more.

Trying to remain still as the floor creaks and the door opens. "I'll just pretend to sleep. Steady breathing."

Inhale. Exhale. You try to will your sore body to lie, but the heart races anyway. Footsteps, until they stop. Just beside you.

The requirements for what I needed, although a little technical in their reasoning are ultimately simple to explain. And the process for qualifying images is more time consuming than difficult, so it's almost an ideal task to assign to subs, one piece at a time.

Here's the template for the instructions I provided:

"Find 10 pictures of a minimum 800x600 resolution featuring a <subject that I'm looking for>.

Each picture must be of a different model. Ideally in a variety of poses (how she holds her arms, the direction she faces, etc.), and ideally in different types of backgrounds (a bedroom, an office, outdoors, etc.)

Remove any text from the image in a clean way (e.g. crop the image or use AI to remove it). It's easier to avoid photos that include tattoos of words or any brand logos with words.

The picture must only include a single person.

Do not use video stills.

The picture cannot be AI generated.

This must be a picture and not a anime/drawing/painting. You must also think this is a hot/sexy picture for it to qualify."

Every instruction has a specific rationale. The first most important filter that I ask to apply is “Does it look hot?” Obviously subjective, but if the training image doesn’t look good then what’s the point?

The rest are specific criteria that affect quality. Is it a good resolution (800x600 minimum)? In focus (avoiding video stills)? Is there writing/watermarks (literally anywhere)? Are there tattoos? Is there more than one person in the image?

Some of this can be overcome with basic cropping, photoshop, etc. But it’s usually better to just move on if it fails any of these tests.

Depending on how niche of an object I'm looking to train, this means you are essentially browsing pornography for hours (which distracts from the task at hand) to get 20-40 source images. I purposely limit the search to ~10 at a time you can approach the task with more of a focus.

Ideally too you want a wide variety of backgrounds, lighting, clothing, etc. so you’ll want to only source one image per shoot to avoid training unintended biases along with the object of choice.

And with that, I had everything I needed to add a nice variety of toys to my images.
