The Sims 4: Just Genetics - an AlwaySimming Save File

       hi and welcome to my first ever save file. If the name didn’t tip you off this may be the simplest yet, imo, most needed save file in existence. This save file only changes the genetic makeup of the sims and adds the much needed hotwear/coldwear options for those who didn’t come with it. It is completely vanilla and doesn’t require any cc or mods. I was really fed up with how little body representation there was and when there was some it wasn’t entirely accurate. I wanted to fix that while still keeping the sim recognizable. So, hence this idea was born. I thought, if I’m putting in this much work and effort why not share it for others to enjoy. I really hope you check it out and if you use it please tag me I wanna see! I’ve also included a version with just hotwear/coldwear fixed if you want to keep that classic sim look~

FINALLY, 1.1 IS HERE

           First things first, I am so sorry this took forever to come out. I started giving every sim likes and dislikes, but it’s taking Forever… So instead I decided to release this with the few families I had done since I also updated the sims from Cottage Living. While this is a smaller update I hope you enjoy.

This blog's purpose is to engage in the conversation around the use of curseforge in the sims modding community and the company's support of Israel and the IDF. This is not a hate-blog, or meant to "cancel" creators. It is an open conversation and call-to-action for popular creators to remove their content from curseforge.

Curseforge, owned by the Israeli company Overwolf, posted a crowdfunding campaign for the IDF at the beginning of the siege on Gaza. They quickly removed it, but there is no reason to believe that they do not continue to support the IDF. The organization they partnered with to raise money for the victims of Oct 8th has Zionism as one of their core values. And in April they hosted the organization, Gvahim, who integrates new settlers into Israel's workforce. An active part of the ongoing colonization of Palestine.

Even besides all of this, the baseline of leaving curseforge is to divest in the Israeli economy while the war on Gaza rages on. An estimated 37,000 Palestinians have been cruelly murdered by Israel. (May, 2024) The number is predicted to be much higher.

Popular creators generate traffic and revenue for the site and contribute a large portion to the nearly 1 billion downloads in the Sims 4 category. Their choices do make a difference.

Providing alternative downloads is a good step, but it is not enough. If you are a modder or custom content creator, I urge you to take part in the mission to leave curseforge as a whole.
